    My first 45 was "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks (We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun..)

    My first ALBUM was Bob Seger's Night Moves. LOVED and STILL love that album!

    Led Zeppelin - II (first CD)
    Traveling Wilburys (first cassette - can't recall what album)
    Madonna - Lucky Star (first record, pretty sure it was a single and not the entire album)

    First ones I myself bought were on my 14th Birthday with the money I received;

    Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
    Metallica - Master of Puppets
    Slayer - Haunting The Chapel

    First actual albums I received were my brother's 8 tracks when I was 6. They were all KISS albums - Destroyer, Love Gun, & Alive II. I was ruined for life at that moment.

    I was three. My mother took me to the record store as I wanted a record for my father's record player, she was thinking something soothing fun and very childlike....

    I however, had different plans and threw the temper tantrums of all temper tantrums that three year olds throw SO WELL.

    We went home with a Kiss album, because I liked the clowns on the front.

    My parents being free loving, everything is good for their children in moderation, let me listen to it all the time, until my baby brother got it into his head to sit on it and break it. (I think that "accident" filled my mother with relief)

    My father was probably also relieved, given that Kiss didn't sit well with his then punk priorities.
