I might be off the hook after all. She found someone to replace me and they are starting Monday. My last day is supposed to be Thursday. To my understanding, I will not be training her, and I'm pretty positive she won't be paying both of us to work... so maybe it's a small hint that I can leave this hellhole. WOOHOO!
It is a requirement, by law, if you give a 2 week notice, you must be paid, whether or not they keep you or not. I gave a 2 week notice once and since I was in IT and had access to very sensitive information, they told me to go ahead and leave and they would pay me. It was the company policy and my only regret is I did not give a month notice.0
