Wow Jenn you are doing so well. Keep up the good work. :flowerforyou:
I had zucchini bread for breakfast not just one slice but two, so now I am really going to have to be careful today. I made the bread. I used mostly whole wheat flour and I cut back the sugar. But it is still rather fatening. Exercise, Exercise, or I will be in trouble today.:grumble:
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Monday.0 -
 checking in - I'm at 242.2 now ... yeah! I'm so happy that I'm seeing some progress now!0

I know today is Thursday, but I thought I would throw something out there for next week.
I say let's continue to add minutes to our weekly cardio, no doubt.
But I wanted to suggest maybe in addition to the cardio another challenge for the new week. Let us ask ourselves these questions each day. We can post it everyday or what ever you have time for.
Did I drink my water today? (water is going to help us lose the weight let us do at least eight 8oz cups)
Did I stay in my calories for today?
What am I proud of that I did today towards meeting my goals?
Maybe if we are setting daily goals and sharing them with each other we will feel all the more accountable for our actions. I know I need a kick in the butt. I am maintaining because, I haven't been trying to lose. My neighbor came up to me yesterday and said Hey your losing, I can tell. That kind of motivated me. I do not want to fail at this. I want to prove that I have some self control and that I can accomplish what I have set out to do. Does anyone want to join me in this????0 -

Hey awestfall, I am with you. I gained back a couple of pounds last week. I re-lost them this week, but It shows how easy we can fall back into our old habits. Especially when we do not feel good, or we have big things going on in our lives that are just so stressful. I like the idea of moving forward and doing this. I am so proud of you that you are back and ready to go. Let's do this and lets help each other. By the way I just drank 32 ounces of water with my breakfast. Hey I could drink that much soda with my fastfood hamburger so I thought why not water with my meal? It was actually quite good.
Another lit bit of info. About 2 years ago I got a 3 week pass to a gym and they had circuit training I would do that and in that 3 weeks I lost sooooooooo many inches it was amazing. I did not lose weight but that was because I was still eating very terribly. I can not afford a gym membership, so yesterday I decided to make my own circuit in the living room with small weights, resistant bands, and dance dance revolution. It was really fun and I was sweating. Even though I am a big girl I am not a sweater so it was a big deal to me that I was. I could feel the burn but I was having so much fun I did not care. Then I got in this little pool with my kids. It is a blow up pool. Me and the kids kind of got in a row and just swam around the edges of the pool for and hour. My face and legs were under water , my butt was not :blushing: but I could still do like a swimming motion. i had so much fun yesterday , i was puffing, my heart was beating and I burned 887 calories between the 2 activities. Today I am just going to play around with the kids and do dance dance revolution, and tomorrow I will set up circuit again. I think you are only suppose to do that 3 days aweek. It is like doing a version of curves in my living room. I lost my motivation for about 3 weeks and it is back. I will be 39 in a couple of months and my goal is to be thin next year by my 40th. (wow, I do not feel like I am going to be 39, I still feel so much younger, I want to look younger and losing weight will do it)
So let's start thinking about those questions and making sure that we follow through
Have I drank my water today?
Did I stay in my calories?
What have I done today that I am proud of?0 -
I felt good this morning but as the day has gone by I am starting to feel yuck:sick: and to top it all off I am hungry, what is up with that:noway:0

Morning everyone, I hope you all had a great week. I had a few challenges this week, my hubby's birthday, and my daughters birthday, so lots of food and cake and less time to exercise. It was also that TOTM.
Last week - 270.7
this week - 2690 -

Wow, that is hard. You are right it just does not seem feasible to count calories, our whole lives. I just keep telling myself I have so much to lose that by the time I am done with this weight loss part of it. I will have an idea of how much I am supposed to eat. I am also aware that finances with kids limit the "diet" type foods that you can have. I am not so sure they are the best for you. But fruits and veggies are. I can relate to running out of those foods. We have experienced that before, I am just so sorry that you are going through that right now. I do not have the answers, I know that if you are a child of God he has promised to provide your needs, lean on him right now. Talk to him and listen he may have a plan for you and you need to hear him. Believe me I am so sympathetic to your situation. I am blessed to live in an area that is very good for growing different types of fruits and veggies and I know that at my church a lot of people have gardens and fruit trees and they share them at church. You might mention it to some of your fellow church members. Let them know what you are going through. Maybe someone will share with you all. I will be praying for you and your family, I promise.0 -
