:flowerforyou: Welcome to the supportive and encouraging thread that helped to change my life.

:flowerforyou: The title says Women Ages 50+ but all women are welcome.

:flowerforyou: How did you do with your goals for March?

:flowerforyou: What goals do you have for April?

:flowerforyou: Some of us set weight loss goals and others have goals that address exercise, healthy behaviors, or new attitudes.

:flowerforyou: I love the start of a new month because it is a clean page on the calendar ready for a new beginning.

:heart: Barbie from NW Washington

April goals:
*walk the dogs for an hour or more every morning
* Yoga three days a week
*100 lunges a day
*weight training three days a week
*17,000 steps a day

    Hello ,

    Let me start by wishing everyone good luck on your goals for the month of April.

    My progress for the month of March didn't end the way I would have liked; but, I have faith in myself and I plan to do better with this month.

    My Weight Loss Goals is to:

    * Stay hydrated.

    * Decrease my weekly calorie intake by 500 calories

    per day.

    * Eat a balanced diet of fats, proteins and carbs.

    * Eat several small meals throughout the day.

    * Eat a bowl of oatmeal or have a whey protein supplement every morning.

    * Avoid fast food.

    * Eat my last meal before 8 p.m. (three hours before

    going to bed.

    * Workout five days a week for 30 minutes and burn

    at least 550 to 600 calories.

    * Kettle bell workout 2 days a week for 40 - 50 minutes

    and burn 150 to 300 calories.

    Please note: I don't workout when I'm not feeling well.

    Happy April ladies.

    I had a dreadful night - kept awake coughing. Enough already! I'm going to stay at home today and try to soothe with hot drinks. I have early starts on Monday and Tuesday, leave home at 5:00 am to go over to look after the grandtwins.

    Exercise today will consist of an hour on the treadmill - which is what I'm off to do now.

    Have a good day my friends.

    Love to all.

    April goals for me are to....stay the course...a pound a week is good. I keep telling that to my self any way. I've gotte so much better at watching my portions and counting the calories, without changing my diet to much. I've cut most the sugars out...starches...and breads. Still have some once in awhile. Lots of veggies and fruits. Cut way down on redmeat. Of course summer is coming and thats going to be really hard. We love to cook out. Guess I'll be stocking up on fish and new ways to grill it. :smile: .
    I have a trip to Disney World coming up in June, so I hope I won't blow it to bad outta the water that week!!! :glasses:
    I should at least get lots of walking in, and the condos have treadmills. Walk it off!!!
    Lots of yard work to do today...so Everyone have a great Sunday and a Great April!!!

    Happy April. I had a good day yesterday I did the Cooper River Bridge Run/Walk with my 2 daughters. We walked, We had a good time:happy: in spite of reaching the start line 2 hours after start time, :angry: very poorly organized which was surprising because they have had this for 35 years. They ran out of water at the two water stations after the bridge, luckily we had brought our own. This was my first 10k walk, don't think I would have made the bridge ups and the long walk without the weight loss and the exercise I have done this last year. It felt. good. I will have to look into other events in the area.
    My spring break starts at 3 on Tuesday:flowerforyou: :bigsmile: :blushing: , That is a day early because my dh is having hernia surgery.:ohwell:
    Hope you have a great day and enjoy the rest of the weekend

    Happy April... I haven't checked in for a while.

    My goals for April are to eat more veggies and fruits, and to do yoga 4 times per week:happy:

    Both of these goals get easier as the warm weather approaches.
    :laugh: :laugh:

    Barbie... I'm just north of you near Frederick, MD.

    Hope everyone has a wonderful April!!

    Hi, I've lost all the weight I want to lose, would like to put on some muscle, if that is possible. Cut down a little on my cardio and up my weights. Good luck everyone.

    Hi, I'm just a fraction short of fifty and joined MFP last week.
    This group looks like it offers great support.
    Mind if I join in?
