And don't they say you should drink half of your weight in ounces? So I'm 183. I should be drinking 91.5 ounces/8= round up to 12 glasses a day. If I don't exercise. How much extra are you supposed to drink if you exercise? Sigh.
Does coffee count? It is made with water.
Does coffee count....there have been some lengthy discussions on MFP about that!
I decided I would count only one cup of coffee. It is fluid but I really should not be drinking too much coffee.0 -
I had terrible diet habits period before I got serious. I knew I needed water. But I only took sips with my pills. I tried numerous times to increase it to no avail.
What finally worked was planning when to drink my water.
I am a planner.
But now I drink 8-10 glasses a day.0 -

4/3 -- 3 glasses (Shur Fine H20 again)
4/4 -- 3 glasses (Shur Fine H20 again)
I had to get my water in late, as I just wasn't thirsty during the day.
Thought I'd not use the template for now.0 -

A little late to the game here, but just saw this now. This is my biggest challenge, getting in the water.
Minimum goal is 64oz (8 cups) Ideal goal is 96oz (12 cups)

at first it is hard to drink it, but I got off soda and am now a "Bottle Baby". My 1 quart bottle goes everywhere with me.One thing they say do not leave your bottles in the car as it changes the composition of the plastic and leaks carsengens (SP?) into your water. so it goes everywhere. I am constantly sipping out of it until the water is gone.
Useally by mid day I need a fill up or a new bottle. I use the 1 Quart bottles. there are 32 ounces,or 4-8cups servings per bottle. 4 cups to a Quart right? if you drink just one you have 4 times your 8 ounces that day. Most recommended is at least 2- 3 of those bottles a day. by the end of the day after sipping, and using it at mealtimes and snacks I have had 2 quarts or 64 ounces of water consumed that day.

I got a BPF or what ever the letters are :blushing: free plastic one also have some stainless steel ones. My best is a go to glass at home that holds 16oz. Ive made a game with the kids on helping me remember to log my water and keep moms glass full once its empty. No they are like mom hurry up and drink I want to get you another glass or I want to make another on drank. Once I bit the bullet so to speak and downed 100oz in one day (many many bathroom runs :blushing: ) Now Its like my body craves it and I am always thirsty for water. I have cut out pop and my sweet tea :sad: something I thought I could never do. Dont really miss it to much.0
