Appropriate, that word is supposed to be appropriate.
I have 2 pair of shoes, a very conservative pair and these sky high gold glitter ones. I'm a professional, not a "professional." (Auditor at a bank) Are they work appropriate, or should I change to the more conservative ones? Or are they okay, just not with this outfit?

I personally think they're a little too dressy for a work environment.0

I agree, perhaps a little too much for work.0 -
While they are great shoes they are, in my opinion, not shoes to wear to work. I'd go for something still cute and sassy, but less sparkly! I have a black dress almost exactly like that, and I'll wear it with burgundy red pumps sometimes, just for something more fun than black pumps.0

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, but I love them so much . . . but that's why I currently have the other pair at my desk in my work bag.0 -
They are lovely shoes, and you look great in them, but the glitter . . . I'd say no.0

They would be appropriate depending on region. Los vegas, for example.0

They are amazing shoes. That being said I wouldn't wear them to the office :-(0
-
Hot, but not for the office0
-
They don't seem professional to me, more like for going out.0
-
yea, maybe for a photoshoot, instead. :bigsmile:0
-
I love those!!!
I have no idea. I go to work with my FM boots LOL0 -
I work in banking as well. While they are beautiful shoes, would not wear them to work.0

Yeah, I've already changed (with tears in my eyes). I know that they are party/date night/dessert on date night/photo shoot shoes . . . I just love them and I didn't have the black pumps that I normally wear with this dress.0 -
If they come in a steel toe, I'd hire you!!!0
-
I think they could work for... uh... work if you wore them with slacks instead of a dress. Pants would tone down the shoes, and the shoes would dress up the pants.0

Are you kidding? I see stuff like that all the time. Maybe your rival bankers are just more cool.
or perhaps more inappropriate? depending on your definition...
I think it's fine.0 -

I will agree they are to die for. I think you need to plan a night out so you can wear them. :-)0 -
If you click your heels three times, you'ld be sent to Las Vegas.
And what stays there....0 -
OMG I want them, but I couldn't see wearing them to the office. That dress is pretty awesome though!0
-
Absolutely not work appropriate. If you wear those to work your co workers, especially the females, will talk about you and question your professionalism.0
-
I love platform heels, but I don't think the gold glitter is approriate for the work enviroment...0
-
The color of the shoes isn't appropriate for the office. Not the shoe itself. Love the dress by the way.0
-
I would wear them. But mind you I wear fishnet stockings....actually have some on right now...to work. You just have to know your work place.0

Agreed!0 -
No to the shoes, yes to the dress.0
-
Love em, but they are more appropriate for work if you were a dancer. I used to bounce at a Pretty decent club in Chicago and the girls would die for shoes like that0
-
I save my glitter platforms for New Year's Eve and GNOs...0
-
no. not appropriate for work, unless you are the tooth fairy or work at Disney0
-
Great shoes but not for work.0
