  • People generating negative forums with no value to this site...Like this one......This is not Youtube, it's not Facebook, and forums and discussion topics should focus ONLY on good health.

Focusing on what we dislike is a waste of time and energy, AND self-limiting...Life's too short.

I haven't been here long (a little over two months) but I'm more disappointed than pissed off. I have read some threads where people bicker with each other about the silliest things. Don't really care for the message boards as a result and only reach out to people in "Introductions" from time to time, but love everything else about the site.

People that think that it's a joke to put people down. Again, I thought this was a forum, not secondary school. Thought I left that behind years ago. Obviously not.

People who lack the basic reading comprehension skills necessary to understand different areas of the forum devoted to different subjects and who rail against those who use those areas of the forum as intended.

The ones that think they are an expert on everything and that their way is always right. I have a degree in Fitness and Nutrition but I obviously struggle with my weight. I know what to do just dont always have the motivation and/or willpower. I hate when people are overweight but try to preach people with everything they are doing wrong when they arent perfect

People going into the CHIT-CHAT, FUN AND GAMES section of the forum to complain about threads relating to chit-chat, fun or games.

There's a whole section of the forum for fitness and exercise. Another for Motivation/Success Stories/Recipes...all it takes is a bit of reading comprehension.

Also, people who post a topic and then attempt to control the discussion that ensues. This is a public forum. If you want control over what people say and how they respond, create a blog and post it there so you can moderate the comments. Otherwise, accept that when posting something in a public forum you will get a wide-variety of responses - many of which may very well upset you or cause intense sphincteral agony.

*Edit* Uh, Brett, I thought it was my turn to use the brain this morning.

there should be a list of forums or a search function for that. that would help.

    Christians.

Edit: not the fact they are Christians, more so the fact that they feel they need to include it in their forum posts. Baby Jesus doesn't care about your weight loss struggles. He doesn't give you the strength to say no to eating obscene amounts of food that isn't good for you.

If you want baby Jesus to help you lose weight, get skinny the way he stayed skinny. Live in poverty, don't have toys that prevent you from doing exercises, walk from town to town working for him and depend on the kindness of strangers for your meals and shelter.

When people get on here solely to push their products and SELL stuff. If I see one more post, or get another message asking me to buy their plan for hundreds of dollars, I am NOT going to be happy. THAT is my biggest pet peeve. People preying on my MFPals seeing how badly we want to lose this weight and thinking that, that is a opportunity to make a fast buck.

I can't really say anything pisses me off, because well it's the internet. I don't get pissed off over petty stuff. The only thing I guess that I don't understand is when people get upset over what someone else does and have to act all high and mighty.

I will never understand why anyone lets what someone else does to their own body effect their mood. Especially someone that you don't even know, someone you only know from the internet.

It's also kind of annoying that some of my spices scan as lemon juice, but I guess that's more of a technical issue.
