Sorry - how is this related to the goals of MFP. The same question arises - if you have to worry about whether you ask the question or whether you are not following MFP rules and guidelines then surely you should choose not to ask this question here. There must be an alternate forum to ask ADULT questions of this nature. I am not offended by it - just don't think it is appropriate for this forum

@debs6 - Since we are all adults here & this forum is called Chit-chat, fun and games....I believe this is reserved for non-weightloss talk if someone so pleases...No one on here has said anything derogatory or hateful on here....

I am not trying to be mean but I don't understand why you would click on this topic if it offends you...That is all. :)

If she's looking for a way to make quick money in arkansas, sex work is not the way to do it. morals aside, it takes too much to get started, and the risk just isn't worth the money.
  • I know this will offend someone and someone will go crying to the mods to have it closed. But until then I want your opinions on a male or female doing "adult" type work to pay bills, school payments, medical bills, etc. Sure you can say GO GET A REAL JOB! But what IS a REAL job?

Please no insults and no rude comments. There ARE excuses so no "They should get a job, there's no excuse." You never know a person's situation and you never know what they've been through or what have you.

Interesting that this is the first and only post of this new person. Why join a weight loss forum to post about adult topics. A trifle attention seeking perhaps??
Interesting that I have a lot more posts and two other topics than just this one. So nice try

I'd say do what you need to do but your looks and body won't last forever. The money will be great and very enticing at first but it won't last forever. At some point, nobody will want to give you singles are log into your viewing room. Take the time and be patient while you're young to get some kind of education to set yourself up for future success. You will need a fallback plan at some point in your life.

    I agree 100%

Nothing wrong with it. As others have said, there may be regrets later down the road about it, but that has more to do with personality type and the individual's life perspective.

And as far as why sex work is illegal in this country, that seems like a whole other debate.
Hustle pathetic men, don't see anything wrong with that to be honest.

Because everyone who goes to a strip club is "pathetic"? You've never heard of couples that go to them of groups of guys as an outing? Very narrow field of view you have there.

Hooking I can't really get behind no matter what considering it's illegal and can be a gateway to drugs and diseases. But stripping, porn, etc that's their choice and often times you'll find them to be decent people who just happen to have a job that's not exactly encouraged. Same stigma was on women who were in the business of Opera long ago, their social status was the same as a prostitute's, and many were close since they would "service" patrons of the theatre in exchange for money, garments or jewelry, and even living quarters. Yet look how much respect they had anyway and still have now after they're dead.

You can't define a person by their job.

Those couples or casuals who go there once or twice a year arent their bread maker. Wanna see the pathetic folks, try going there after before 5 and spotting 1 or 2 old retired men who're single handedly supporting atleast 1 girl in that joint...some are supporting as much as 3 of them...

"hooking" is dangerous. illegal. and just plain not even half as fun as it sounds.

escorting is a little expensive to get started (if you really want to make money) - getting an account on eccie.com or eros.com costs a few hundred dollars, and you're expected to have professional photos made as well as references - an iphone with instagram and a bathroom mirror just won't cut it.
you have to have a "gimmick", and prove that you're better than every other girl out there trying to make a buck. It's unsafe - not just the sex, but the most money is made doing outcalls (i.e. going to some specified location to meet the client). incalls are just as dangerous because if you're working out of your home, you're giving complete strangers (who hire escorts) your address. and if you work out of a hotel, you're at serious risk of being thrown out or caught by the police. hotel staff are trained to recognize escorts and sex workers. also, keep in mind the majority of your clients will be married, and will be hiring you to appease their fetish. if you plan to do nothing more than basic oral favors or the old "squeak squeak", then you're clientele will run dry and undercut you every time.
not to mention you will need an imposing male friend (preferably gay or related) to accompany you at each appointment, and he should expect a customary 40% of your fee. keep in mind, once you're inside and scantily clad or less, it will be awfully difficult to signal your guard without putting yourself in danger.

stripping is basically the same, but you will be required to pay up to 60% of your earnings to the DJ, the club owner, and the bartender/bouncers. it's hard work, but with less risky sexual activity. however, you will be a piece of meat competing with 50 or so other girls every night you work for hours on end. and the club owner? he'll expect unlimited access to you, and basically be your "legal" pimp.

camming, Domme services, etc, they all have risks and potential consequences. there is no such thing as easy money.
How do you know all of this?

Do it right............................get a senator or congressman to be your man, get caught, then get paid for either keeping quiet or interviewing with the networks. That ought to keep clients down to a minimal.

I don't take your comment as being mean at all - but would like to repeat that this topic does not offend me at all but when I saw it come up on the list of most recent topics I clicked on it because I wondered how it was related to this site in general. When I read it, I then checked and found that this person has never posted at all on this site before, has only recently joined and has perhaps used this post as a not so subtle advertising of her Adult Services. If this is the case - and the post is indeed a fishing expedition for potential customers then I don't think it is appropriate. Please think about it. Why would someone join this site and the very first ever topic they present is about adult services??

That kind of work, or any kind of underground/illegal situation is riddled with abuse of all sorts, because its harder to seek out help legitimately. Whatever you decide make sure you are safe.

You're right, nothing wrong with it. I just wanted to point out what the definition of pathetic in that text is. BTW, I dont call them pathetic, the girls these guys support do. Over and over and over again they call them that.

Wrong. There is nowhere that I posted a link or even mentioned a site that anyone could see me naked or hire me to be naked

Check again, my FIRST topic was BLONDE JOKES. If you're going to make accusations then at least do your homework lady.

Sorry - just checked out more thoroughly and there are a few more posts under topics such as blonde jokes and another like do you think you are sexy or am I sexy.

Sorry I missed those critical topics.

    My thoughts however remain unchanged.

I will leave it at that - make no more comments and let the moderators make up their minds.

Why would you want to degrade yourself like that? It's gross to think some skanky old man could be getting his kicks off watching you naked or whatever you're doing...gross.

Do you think someone like Michelle Obama for instance would be getting her gear off just so she could make some extra money while she was in going through college? No way.

I hope you decide not to do it because it's just not worth it, you could never be that desperate to sell your body. There are tonnes of part time jobs available so unless you enjoy adult work than there's no other reason for it.

If a guy had posted this same topic, nobody would be thinking he's trying to set up a "client base" via MFP. Please stop the internet cat fight.

This post is in chit-chat, fun, and games. This qualifies as chit-chat. there is nothing sexually explicit going on here and everyone is merely discussing a point that someone brought up...in the chit-chat section of the forums. Where we're supposed to be able to talk about non-sexually-explicit things in a structured manner with mo profanity and so on. This thread meets al of those requirements. It says no where that this section is meant to be used for weight loss stuff.

Nothing wrong with stripping... and I seriously doubt doing it would prevent anyone from getting a job in the future. It's not illegal. Unless you're aiming to be the next president or a senator, and even then, I don't think you'd need to worry about doing something such as stripping for money, legitimately. Hell, if I had the body for it and I wasn't married I'd definitely consider it... but no touchy. Lol.

Agree. However, I can assure you that the whole "no touchy" is just a concept on TV's. The girls who try to employ that get a reality check real soon and are either change their policy or are told by the manager to gtfo (which is weired because technically, its the strippers who hire the club )

It's not the same from place to place... there are clubs where the dancers are accompanied by what is practically a body guard during "private" dances to make sure the customer does NOT touch them.

Umm down here it's illegal for a male to touch a stripper or even for the stripper to allow touching. Any club caught breaking this law will be shut down on the spot.

I say do what you need to do to survive in this world. Dont let anyone tell you where to work because they dont have to pay your bills. Its great money. At least you are doing something for yourself, many women I know dont work, they depend on others. Ive met many women in my life and I will tell you that Ive met many that were strippers that had more class and respect than women who were teachers and nurses. Ive seen many people with Masters degrees working at grocery stores and it costed them their marriages, home, and etc. The reason I mentioned that is we all are in this together and we all have to make money. No one can judge in todays world. For those who might say you are degrading yourself, how many of those women cheat, lie, sleep around, backstab, manipulate others, are mean to others, use nice guys for money/dates/attention, and hurt others? Dont listen to them, they are not perfect and have no right to judge. DO what you need to do and live your life, its your life, no one will live it for you. I wish you well and good luck.
