    I have been deleted recently, and by friends who I talked to a few times a week. I have asked both if I did anything to offend them, no reply. There have been others who I barely knew, I can deal with that. I am starting to wonder though why people who I would call a friend have walked away without a word. :frown:

    Yeah I don't delete unless you are out of line and disrespectful. You never know what may take a person over the edge. Well, if someone does not want to be friends...such is life.
    I wonder if folk would do that in person if they were friends...

    I prefer to do the online version of "the fade." In real life this involves slowly fading people out of my life: Taking a long time to return calls, being "busy" when they want to hang out, forgetting to keep them updated on things that are important to me, etc. Online, this is more difficult, so I slowly fade out my interactions, then delete. Yeah, I'm mean. But, really, would you want to be friends with someone who doesn't want to be friends with you? nope!

    I delete people if they don't post anything for a long time. I figure there's not much point in keeping them around if there's no interaction.

    Yet, what exactly are you gaining by deleting someone who doesn't post much?? nothing
