You are fantastic! I hope that you do learn to love yourself. After all, it sounds like you are a very special person. I totally encourage therapy. It could be because I am a therapist. It could also be because you are worth fighting for. I do wonder where your next weight goal is going to come from. I mean, lose more weight? From where? I wish you all the best. You are an inspiration to me. :-) All the best, A
PS Your muscles are far from manly. In my mind, muscles have no gender!
PPS I love this movement called Health At Any Size info found at http://www.haescommunity.org/ or wiki at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_at_Every_Size . It is for people at every size who hope to love themselves and enhance their health.

I am also a slow weight loser. and I got fustrated that I work pretty damn hard and eat the right stuff 90% of the time but still cant seem to like what I see in the mirror! Reading your story reminded me, that i need to love me even if I too still see the fat girl in the mirror. Thank you for posting your experience! You look really good and I want those back muscles lol!

I read it all..but will pass on the cookie...thanks though! it was a great read. I love your realness! Because of that, you will help a lot of people! Have you tried plugging yourself into a good church....one that is real? I think that once you can see yourself as God sees you, some of the mental junk will also melt away. It is just as much a daily "workout" to keep your mind in shape, as it is a physical workout to keep your body in shape. You pay attention to what you put into your body...do you pay attention to what you are putting into your mind...what you are thinking about. POWER THOUGHTS, by Joyce Meyer (joycemeyer, com) is an amazing message! She has a book, DVD and CD set, all for $35 right now. I encourage you to consider it!

I did read your entire story and enjoyed it ALL the way through, nothing boring about it!
Since your story inspired me so much, I'm going to recommend it to one of my MFPals who I think would benefit from reading it.
My impression from looking at all your photos is, how much younger you look. I think while shaving off pounds you nipped a few years along with it! All around splendid success!
If you can handle another (albeit older) friend on here, I'll send a friend request your way. I like your style -no nonsense, with integrity and an encouraging disposition, a little bit like me:bigsmile:

You are an inspiration to me! Thank you for your openess and honesty! Like you I am on the slow train but thats ok...I am glad to at least be ON THE TRAIN! I am over 200 and have found my thyroid is out of wack...new meds and slowly uping the dosage seems to be working with the guidance of my specialist. I feel better for my choices as well. Cant wait to post pics this time next year! Congrats. Your beautiful!

Thank you for posting. It takes guts to lay it out there in front of a bunch of strangers! :drinker: I don't have any answers to those all-to-common issues, but I can tell you that the change in your appearance is awesome! You have done a lot of hard work to get there. You should be proud!!

Wow, you look stunning! And not just thin, but really fit and healthy. You've accomplished a lot and you should be proud of yourself! I recently lost about 80 pounds and gained half of that back in 3 months (yes, that's not a typo). It wasn't a good time. When I was 40 pounds lighter, I STILL wasn't happy. Of course, now I would be thrilled to be down that 40 pounds again! Try to be happy NOW, where you are. You are not a number on the scale or on a tag. You are much more than that.

    Congratulations on your success!

Thanks so much for posting! I'm at the beginning of the same journey as you with some similar stats. You are an absolute inspiration. I guess I'll take a page from your book and try to find some MTP friends. I haven't done that yet.
