I will totally friend you. I am not a single mom, though. I guess I could have added to that, that I am happily married to my hubs who I have been with since High School. He's amazing!

I collect Cookie jars my oldest being almost 175 yrs old. It is the Cookie jar that was passed down to me from my ggg grandmother. I have 45 of them now and keep getting more as I find them. Pretty boring eh!

My brain holds more random facts than should be humanly possibly...

like did you know when graham crackers were first introduced they were meant to be used to help reduce sexual urges?

Unfortunately, I did know that! I remember reading it after a movie came out about Kellogg ( I think it was Kellogg). I don't think it works. They are pretty tasty.

I lived without running water for 10 years.

    How? I need more explanation.....HOW?

Well I lived in a small village in Alaska (Venetie) where my parents taught till age 6. There are like 4 homes that have running water.. We had a "honey bucket" for the toliet (google), and we showered at the school which was right next to the house (Like 100 feet away). Mom and dad carried 5 gallon bucket from the school, (Dad was the principle), to the house to wash dishes in.

Then, from 6yrs-10yrs we moved to Hawaii and bought land. And we bathed in the streams, and home made showers: boiled water on a fire, dumped into a bucket, and hoisted into the air.

Dad made our plumbing, electricity, house, farm, and built our house and after age 10, lived like normal people!

    I loved my childhood.

Parent bought a place here in alaska 3 years ago, and this is the same way I spent last summer, as my dad builds the house....
