Is there any foods you DONT enter into the meter?

WHY?! enter everything-
just remember you're only cheating yourself.0 -
I don't log my binges just because i have no idea how. I consume too much during a binge to keep track and i don't log my vitamins, coffee, or tea since i honestly didn't know they had calories or anything in them that i needed to log so i guess i better start doing that now lol0
-
I add pretty much everything.0
-
I don't log green tea or spices or vitamins.0
-
Diet soda, gum, and mustard.0
-
The only thing that passes my mouth without being logged is medication.0
-
I'm a maintainer (eight years now) and when I am logging, I don't log diet soda, mustard, vitamins, the occasional SF gum, a few sliced pickles, stevia (without fillers), etc. Nor do I log spices or anything else legitimately calorie free or < 5 calories. Never had a problem losing or maintaining weight this way. I do log fruits and vegetables, condiments with calories.. And apples do NOT have negative calories. :P0
-
*Apples (negative food - means, you burn more calories digesting it than it contains)
no such animal.
Well, duh, they're *vegetables*!0 -
All food gets logged and water, but not tea and not the one diet drink I might have in a day. It's not cheating because it's not gonna have that much affect on my calories, and it hasn't stopped me losing so far, so I'm not bothered. And I don't log them because I can't be bothered to measure how much exactly I drink, not because I want to 'cheat' my calories. It's not affecting my weight loss, so I think it's cool.0

I don't log food stolen from my daughter, those are her calories surely - lol.
I don't log black coffee,green tea,diet coke or water,so MFP thinks I don't drink anything!
I don't log herbs and spices and sometimes don't log ketchup.
I tend to generalise with veg, so I'll lump similar veg together like a previous poster I might put mixed veg down as broccoli.
But I'm fairly honest with myself and the act of logging or deciding not to log keeps me aware of what I'm doing.0 -
I don't log decaf coffee/tea, or a splash of sauce into a sandwich - hardly seems worth the effort! Everything else goes in though, weighed at that.0
-
water (except on the little cup thingy)
0 cal, decaffeinated tea
that's basically all I have that is 0 cals
I don't drink diet drinks
I don't log spices except for salt and ground pepper (which is 3 calories per peppercorn by the way!)
I log my vitamin supplements just to remind myself to take them but I don't log medication (I would if it had calories, lol)
Lettuce & Celery are negative calories but not apples! (that being said I log lettuce and celery, lol)0 -

Apples = negative calories0 -
I don't enter my water just because I KNOW I'm getting enough so I don't need to track it. Everything else goes in so I stay accountable, even my diet sodas!0
-
I dont enter!
*Diet sodas
*Tea
*Veggies (as long as its not potatoes)
*Apples (negative food - means, you burn more calories digesting it than it contains)
*Coffie
What about you guys ! ?
Careful, apples are not negative food. They are around 70 calories per apple, you need to include them.
There are no negative foods, the only thing that is zero calories is plain water.
I dont think you understand what negative calories means... its not zero calories. It means that your body burns more calories digesting the food then it actually contains so by the time you have digested the apple it has burnt off0 -
Anything I don't eat I leave out.0
-
veggies...unless potatoes or corn...condiments such as mustard that are super low in cals....that's pretty much it, I log everything else.0
-
I log everything but my vitamin D chew, which I probably should since it's yummy... but I ran out of it anyway.
I don't log water either, except on the water counter, and coke zero. But everything else is out there for all to see.0 -
I don't log diet pop, tea, spices, gum (unless I chew multiple pieces), sugar twin (I use very little of it so there's no reason for me to log it), pickles and coffee.0
-
squash (drinking kind) thats like 5 cal a glass
Me, neither. I think it's 3 cals. I don't drink it all that often but I do sometimes finish my kids' so it won't go to waste.0 -
I dont enter!
*Diet sodas
*Tea
*Veggies (as long as its not potatoes)
*Apples (negative food - means, you burn more calories digesting it than it contains)

Coffee, tea, and other calorie-free beverages I never log. If I put sugar or milk in them, I would log that, but I don't.
Lettuce I rarely log. Not much point. But I log most other veggies to track my macros (nutrients) and because some contain sugars (like carrots). I pretty much log everything but lettuce, come to think of it.
I'd disagree on the apples - I log them and count them as calories. I don't see how you could possibly burn more calories digesting an apple than you take in when I feel the sugar boost from them after eating them. But your food diary, your rules.
True .. im not sure what im gonna do about that. I might just keep it this way for a while. Not sure, ill think about it haha
Anyway i did first log that sugar intake thing, but i dont count fruit sugar as SUGAR : ) so i cut that stuff out since it was always like wayy higher then 37 grams and it annoyed me, even though my real sugar intake was like 17... (from almond and spelt milk)0 -
I log everything except diet soda, gum and mints.
Not sure why you think apples and veggies are free, but they all have calories and should be logged for a true look at your intake.
The only reason why i wouldnt log my veggies or fruits, is because i dont belive in restricting foods that are purely vitamins and minerals .. you know?
Like if i was really craving an apple or celery or carrots or something but i was at my limit of calories, or carbs or sugars... i wouldnt have it. Even thought its sooo good for you.
I belive in restricting everything else but not that.
I might though since you guys are all on that wagon ;P try it !0 -
I log pretty much everything including gum and hard candies when I remember. I don't really keep track of water because I drink so much of it in many forms: tea, seltzer, coffee etc. -- that it would be a PITA to jump on and log every single glass that I have.0

Apples = negative calories
I don't see anywhere on that page that says that apples have negative calories. She mentions that your body burns more calories when you eat protein, but apples are not protein.0 -
Fruit and veggies! (not potatoes)
AHh so you dont log fruits or veggies ether!? and still lost 21lbs? amazing, JUST amazing
And why dont you log it? : )0 -
It says in the Fruit and Veggies part
Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits that are considered to have negative calories include blueberries; citrus fruits, including oranges and grapefruit; and melon, including watermelon and cantaloupe. Other kinds of fruits that are also considered negative calorie include apples, peaches, grapes, apricots, tangerines, cherries and prunes.
Many vegetables are considered negative calorie because they have a high water content. According to the Fat Free Kitchen, some of these vegetables include lettuce, celery, radishes and cucumbers. Other types of vegetables that are also considered negative calorie include cauliflower, beets, carrots, green beans, spinach and turnips.
im thinking of logging the sugary fruits and veggies though, not the others ... but logging the fruit and carrots and such sugary things0 -
bump for later0
-
I did see an interesting point from someone, witch is that the nutrients you can get from the sugary fruit you can actually get the same thing from veggies, wich dont have so much sugar!! = )
Im gonna try and see if this works, maby ... im not sure :P im going out of the country in 2 weeks and im SURE i will be eating ALOT of fruits there... : )
I didnt belive in restricting fruit sugar intake before, but after reading some stories on here i think maby i might try it ? Even thought it feels SO un natural0 -
everything0
-
one more thought on this though.. i was raw vegan for 4 months... i must have eaten like 2000grams of sugar from fruits EVERY day... why didnt i get fat or obese then? ... i maby gained 2 kg or something and that was only cause i was coming out of a starvation diet... .... so do i REALLY need to watch my sugar intake on fruit?? even if i count them as calories ... do you guys still make sure u dont go over the sugar levels?
then id go over it with 1 small banana and 1 large apple a day : /
and then i still have to add my spelt or almond milk wich has 4-7grams of sugar in 100ml0
