I worked in radio for a few years and currently work for a large beer distributor, so I've met several famous people. This past weekend I got to wear Norm Charlton's World Series ring (Cincinnati Reds)--as seen in my profile pic! I was involved in a celebrity softball game for charity, and he was on our team...he was super nice :)

I've met several athletes, a lot of musicians including Rhianna, Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys (loooong time ago lol), New Kids on the Block, Pete and Patrick from Fall Out Boy, T-Pain, Sara Bareilles, tons of people on the Texas country music circuit (Kevin Fowler, Pat Green, Cory Morrow, the guys from Reckless Kelly, a bunch of others as well). Ryan Seacrest, Carlos Mencia, Ricky Williams, Vince Young...I'm sure there are others since there were celebs in and out of the radio station building every day and I've met several people through my current job, I just can't think of them!

Edited to add, Sandra Bullock and Matthew McConaughey (because they have houses here), and I see Lance Armstrong out riding his bike or jogging at this running trail I go to all the time. And I was on a flight with Jesse James one time from LA to Austin. He's actually really cool (you know, minus the whole cheating on his wife with porn stars thing) in person.

Hmm I met Dennis Haskins from Saved by the Bell (Mr. Belding--he bought me a shot on my 22nd birthday! ha)
Mario Lopez (was behind him on the set of Extra when I was in LA, got my 10 min of fame on TV and didn't even tape it!)
Jessica Simpson (she came shopping in a store in NYC I was working at, also at an autograph signing)
Serge (singer from System of a Down) --my friend snuck me into a concert and we ended up hanging out w/ the band!
    The Rock--autograph signing
bunch of other wrestlers (Hardy Boyz, D Lo Brown, Mark Henry, etc)--autograph signings (I was strangely into this haha)

There were more but for some reason I can't remember? I'm getting too old!

Tori Amos, Robert Smith (from the Cure), Huey from Fun Lovin' Criminals

Also Amy Winehouse who served me, my fella and my friends a beer at the Hawley Arms, Camden, a year before she died :(

My friend's mum went to school with David Bowie though. Sick with jealousy about that (even though he's old enough to be my dad!)

Tons...while in college, I worked at the House of Blues in Hollywood...so lots of the big stars that performed, as well as their friends. I have to say that my all-time favorite was when working in a s3x shop in LA and I sold "enhancing" herbs to Samuel L. Jackson...true story!

I have met Augusten Burroughs at a book signing and had pics taken with him. I had dinner (aka ONE hamburger) with Good Charlotte back in high school when I snuck back with the tour buses at a Warped Tour. I have met The Rural Alberta Advantage on 3 different occasions and they are one of my all time favorite bands! I have met the lead singer of the Nationals, the drummer from We Were Promised JetPacks, singer from Frightened Rabbit, singer and drummer from the Conduits...I think that might be all...

Claudia Schiffer was waiting in St Pancras Station, London, ready to catch a Eurostar. She looked beautiful wearing a huge designer coat and large sunglasses. She only had one person in her entourage by the look of it, probably a PA.

  • There are several current or former NFL players who are alumni of the high school where I've worked for 16 years, and most come back quite often to visit the school and see us faculty members and talk to students, but our most famous "favorite son" is Jamie Foxx (aka Eric Bishop). He sponsors our district's Special Olympics meet every year and also does quite a bit of work with our youth football association each year. He's a good actor, a great singer and piano player, and a pretty nice guy in person.

My favorite "celebrity" I've met was former Texas governor Ann Richards...I interviewed her for my college TV station back in the day. She was an amazing lady and funny as hell.
