For the Elliptical- Moments in Love the techno remix 9 minute extended version is killer.
Most of the Watch the Throne Ablum for general working out.
For distance running for some reason Chasing the Satellites by the Counting Crows helps me pace a long run
Otherwise anything gangsta rap or with Jay Z esp. the Collision Course with Linkon Park

Some old, some new but it works for me.

for cardio i usually anything from Prodigy, and i also put it on Sirius radio area and the songs that station plays does nothing but make you move! for strength training i usually listen to anything that has a good rhythm. and thats usually classic R&b for me like temptations mostly motown style music and then if i am really into it i will listen to some classic rock just to get me moving a little more..lol

The last two songs that got me through the end of my workout would be:

Anthrax - Belly of the Beast &
    Slayer - Americon

I've been on an Anthrax kick this week.

    Eminem "Lose Yourself"

I seriously get HYPE when that comes on the ol' iPod while I'm running...plus the beat is a really good running pace (for me).
This song pumps me up too!!

Linkin Park - Hands Held High
Cake - He's going the distance
Foo Fighters - All my life

And for an off the wall suggestion I find "Still Alive", the theme song from the original portal make me go all out.

I've not been a member for very long but since I love music it's no surprise this would be my first post. I've seen some great suggestions for my cardio playlist from these posts and I wanted to contribute.

I do like 'sexy' pop: Pit Bull, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake, etc. but I'm definitely one of the 'angry alt metal' people.

Some of my favorites I haven't seen mentioned:

    "Down and Out" by Tantric
    "The Fixer" by Pearl Jam
    "Sound of Madness" by Shinedown
"Give it Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
    "Minority" by Green Day
    "Dragula" by Rob Zombie

  • MY favorite start-up/warm-up song is Mary Mary - Go Get It!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=08GInhfyhWA

    (The lyrics are awesome!!!)

MY favorite middle "keep it crunk" of the work-out song is Mary Mary - Something Big

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0XNBBtdKqM&feature=related

I dance in between reps...It encourages me to to keep it going...

    Have fun!!

    Red Jumpsuit Apparatus- Face Down
I really like Eminem's faster raps
Any techno music- I just use any Pandora channel
Dead Mau5- very fast and heavy bass beats- good stuff

I also like to listen to music that was popular when I was in high school. It forces me to remember how great of shape I was in and motivates me to keep going just a little longer!

I know this is really weird, but the Glee (well, any, but that's the first one that comes up on my iPod) version of Proud Mary is AMAZING when I need to run faster.
