    I believed all my Barbies came alive in the basement & lived their own lives. I remember trying to sneak quietly down the stairs to catch them moving around!

    well, i knew fairy's were fake, but had some crackpot theory that tissues mixed with teeth overnight under a pillow, turned into money. amongst other things. kids are crazy. lol.


    also that the bottom of the escalator would shred me. i was terrified of it.
    Ummm. Are you saying that it wont?

    According to Rescue 911 (many moons ago) it's possible, if your shoelace gets stuck in it.

    My mom used to tell me that if I swallowed watermelon seeds that a watermelon would grow in my stomach. Good tactic!

    When my son was about 3 he came to me and said he knew where babies came from. I said "OH? where do babies come from" And he said "The dada gives the mama a whole bunch of sunflower seeds to eat then it plants a baby in mama's tummy!"

    I have NO IDEA where he got that!! But sunflower seeds are one of my favorite snacks so maybe it was wishful thinking on his part!

    I thought that when a car with loud music drove by at night that there was a parade going on outside. I was so mad my mom would put me to bed and the grown ups got to go to a parade!

    I believed my parents were just talking when they were in the bedroom together, and that if I got up in the middle of the night, as long as I drank the water BEFORE I peed, I'd go ahead and pee it out too and it would be longer before I'd have to go to the bathroom again. I had that logic all worked out in my head and didn't learn for a long time that I was basically sabotaging myself because it probably made me need to go sooner! lol

    I used to think eggs were dairy, since they were with the milk and cheese and whatnot :laugh:

    Eggs are listed under "dairy" on my grocery receipt and it drives me nuts every time I see it!

    That if you sneezed too many times in a row that you would die because your heart stops when you sneeze.

    That China and Taiwan were toy stores since all my toys were made there.

    Also that To be announced when listed on the tv guide that it was an actual tv show..... roflmao

    I have thought of a few things that I believed and I am sure as the day goes on I will think of many more

    I remember thinking that when you got married you automatically got pregnant

    I was always scared that from the time I turned off the bedroom light until I got in bed that the devil was gonna reach through the floor and grab me

    My mother convinced my little sister that there were bubblemen that lived in the dishwasher and would wash all the dishes...my sister would sit there for the entire cycle listening to bubblemen...lol

    I believed that parents were perfect, for that matter I believed all adults were

    I believed nothing bad could happen on your way to church or while at church, such as a car accident or a tornado

    I thought that a plastic grocery bag would make a great parachute

    I thought I could dig to china...to bad I lived in Florida...I kept running into water

    I also thought I could build a hot air balloon and travel around the world with my dad...I collected every scrap of wood and cloth I could and stored it behind our garage

    As I think of more I will be sure to post them

    I was 3 or 4 the first time I remember being on a plane. I remember being PRETTY sure that there couldn't really be Carebears living in the clouds, but I had to check just in case (I didn't see any...).

    I remember a cousin and me, making a formula to make your hands like solid rocks so you can break anything!!... omg I still remember when he tried... nothing bad happened... just remember him hitting a wall for a test...hahahahaha.. memories!!!!
