Just out of interest, I have no idea where mine is in terms of being average or above average etc. I know I'm overweight and my BF% shows that, I just want to see how I compare to others.
So post your age, height, weight and BF% please
Mine is 18, 5ft7 (170cm), 76kg (about 167lb) and 36%
My aim is to lose about 15kg (30lb)

I don't know for sure, but probably under 15%.0

I'm 32, 5'7.5", 188.8lbs, with 32.2%bf according to the military body fat calculator on fat to fit, and 30.2 according to bei scale at the gym.0
-
I'm 5'8", 178, and my BF % is 29%. At my highest, it was 46%. 42% when I started MFP.
>30% is considered overweight/obese for women.
18-22% is considered "athletic"
<18% is considered "lean"
FWIW, the military calculations have me at 37-38% body fat. My body scan has me at 29% so sometimes those measurement calculators can be very off.0 -
I'm 5'4", 115 lbs. "Supposedly" 20% by my magical bathroom scale and military equations. I suspect I'm more like 23%/ 24%.0
-
24, 5'8", 163, just about 25%. Do your waist to hip ratio, as well, it will tell you more about your body.0
-
I"m 60, 5' 3" and 135 pounds and according to my BAI scale my body fat hovers around 24 to 24.7%.0
-
24, 5'10", 180 lbs., 39% probably.0
-
41 years old, 5'9", 139 lbs. BF 20%0
-
24, 5'10", 180 lbs., 39% probably.
Lol no. 5'10 @ 180? You're about 15%.0 -
I'm 21, 5'3.5", 142 lb, and 22% by calipers, 25-28% by BIA scale, 21-28% by various circumference calculators. I'm measuring progress by the bodyfat % that my bodybugg progress keeper gives me based on circumference, but once I've kept up with calipers longer, maybe I'll have more confidence in that
ETA: It makes me laugh, the military body fat calculator gives me 28% but says I seem to store fat in unusual ways because my waist:hip and waist:height ratios are good. So I think that calculator has issues with an hourglass.0 -
I don't know for sure, but probably under 15%.
Based on your profile pic, you're roughly 9%.0 -
24, 5'10", 180 lbs., 39% probably.0

Ha. I'm really not. I have a freakishly low amount of muscle for someone my age/size. It's actually very sad. My arms are like twigs.0

25% is excellent and sounds about right for your size. 8% is way off.0 -

Thanks, I knew 8% was way off, but that's the one I entered all my info: wrist, hips, waist, forearm, height and weight. The one that said 25%, I just entered my: height, weight and waist?0 -

My boyfriend is 5'10" and 205 lbs but only 21% bf. He doesn't work out or eat healthy, so I imagine yours is considerably lower than that.0 -
I'm 5'4 135 lbs. My BF% is 20.5-21 right now.0

Hmm I have a feeling that my bf reading could have been a bit of an overestimate, someone at the gym did it for me and I'm not entirely sure how she came to her conclusion. I think I will go to a doctor and get it done. I'm nowhere near obese but I am definitely overweight - british clothes size 12-14 (sometimes a 16 if it's jeans)... hmmm.. although I do think I have a small frame so it would make sense for me to have a bigger body fat percentage than someone who might consider themselves to be big boned or large framed.0

43, 5'11", 185, 16%
I'm shooting for 12 or 13%0 -
I'm somewhere between 21%-25%. Different formulas give me slightly different answers based on my measurements. I have a hunch I'm closer to 25% though, since I have a small frame. I'd like to be around 20% eventually.0
-
Oh, hmm. Apparently, you all may be right. I tried out my scale (which of course, is inaccurate) by it says about 19.5%. Who knew?0
-
Hi ! I'm 23 years old, I'm 5'2, weigh 117, and my BF% is 21.0
