    All credit goes to http://dashingdish.com/recipe/cake-batter-protein-shake/

This takes like a confetti cake, or cake batter ice cream it is fabulous! I just made it and I am stunned how much like cake batter it tasted like. I did not have butter or almond extract so used rum extract and I used splenda and still tasted amazing.

    Cake Batter Protein Shake
1/2 cup Low fat cottage cheese 1
1 Scoop vanilla protein powder 2
3-5 Drops butter or almond extract
1 tbs 1 tbs vanilla sugar free instant pudding mix OR 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3-5 Stevia packets (or sweetener of choice to taste)
1/2 cup-1cup Water (Alter this according to desired consistency)
5-10 Ice Cubes (Depending on how thick you like it, use less for a thinner consistency)
Optional: 1/2 tsp xanthan gum 3
    Sprinkles for topping!
Put everything into a blender and blend until creamy consistency is reached! Top with sprinkles if desired, and Enjoy!

I don't know what the xanthan gum 3 is but the rest sounds pretty straight forward. Might be worth trying!

This base of vanilla protein powder / cottage cheese / milk / water can be used to make all sorts of flavours.

I like to add 2 pineapple rings and a bit of coconut essence for a pina colada flavour.

Or a banana and some peanut butter.

I don't bother with the xantham gum as i find them pretty thick anyway.

The options are endless, just use that as a base!

What are the calories for this, do you know?

If you go to the website it lists the calories for all of them, I want to say this one is around 180, I'm totally trying it later though!

I love it!! I use Jillian Michaels' protein powder, low fat cottage cheese, Jello SF FF vanilla puddig, and no xantham the gum. I measured and figured the calories, etc for the specific ingredients I use.
