He has seen doctors, he goes to the chiropractor and I did talk him into seeing a massage therapist. He has pretty much done it all to try to get help. It seems he will be good for a while, then go through a few bad months, so it's not all bad. Just having a bad few months right now....Sometimes it just feels better to talk about it. If anyone has suggestions to help with the migraines, we also believe that the stomach problems are "stomach migraines", something that is just now getting out there, so if anyone knows about them any info would be wonderful. I will get over this frustration, just typing it has helped, and hiring somebody will help too. Thanks again!:flowerforyou:
But has he seen a nuerologist who specializes in headaches? If you picked through the BS here you will notice you have been given advice on how to SPECIFICALLY handle the migraines. I swear by the preventive meds out there...as does another member who has posted to this effect. Migraines are when blood vessels expand in the brain causing pressure on certain parts in the brain, causing pain. Ice is the first go to rememdy that helps as it reduces swelling. Next is HIGH doses of Aleve to reduce swelling, if that doesnt work go to ER and get injected with Ketamine (animal tranqulizer). From there the ER will say see a specialist! Bringing me back to the first point I made...

Ignoring most of the ranting here, I offer a hug or two to you for everything you have/are and will go thru with your hubby.

I know how you feel - way to damn much. My hubby was dx'ed w/ Graves nearly 3 years ago and even before that, it has been a one sided marriage. I do all the housework, I hold down a great paying (but heavy stress) job because he's often unemployed and I get very little in mental, psychical or emotional support from him. I have medical issues that I can't even afford to deal with myself on top of everything else. I do "rant" on to people, I do try to talk to him, but it hasn't really gotten ANY better.

There are days that I want to tell him to leave.

But I do love him..... so I suffer.

So hugs of support & understanding. I hope you can make him try & get the help (or atleast do the necessary steps to fix the problems when they show up). I also back what the other said in getting a part-time person to help with the business, even if hubby is against it. If the business fails, he'll be alot more miserable than he is.

I am seeing a neurologist who specializes in migraine headaches - it has made a world of difference. It can be frustrating because there are a lot of different ways to treat migraines and not all of them work for everyone so it is trial and error. Migraines can place a lot of strain on the whole family. I quoted the above post because I thought it was excellent advice.

I agree with her!!! Kudos to her for saying how it is!!! I hope your partner never gets cancer or anything major life threatening.. To me it sounds that you are mad that he gets sick because it means that you have to do more work... Clearly thats the only problem. otherwise you would be supportive to your partners needs and help as much as possible!!!! sometimes in relationships with your partner its not always 50/50 sometime one partner have to put more work in then the other, other times the other partner will put in more work but its all balances out!!! I think you keep too much score in your relationship!! keeping score as to how much time off he takes or how often he doesnt feel well and then wallow in your own frustrations because you have to do more.. Thats a shame!!! great GREAT teamwork you got going on!!! I can only wonder what would cause migraines!
Wow....you read WAY more into that post than I did. And, you're taking it so personally....using exclamation points like you're yelling at her. You okay?

Well Keep in mind you are venting to a bunch of strangers. So they are going to give you their opinions and thoughts. Dont post something that you dont want people to comment on. Maybe your vent would be on your facebook status where your friends can tell ya all the warm fuzzies you want to hear!.

Here is a great poem to read over!!!!

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
    it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
    it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
    but rejoices with the truth.
    It always protects, always trusts,
    always hopes, always perseveres.
    Love never fails.

this^^^^^^^ I could have not said it better. I sit hear and read some of these posts in this thread and no wonder why divorce is so common.
