Welcome, Aliah! Congrats on your baby, and on selecting THE finest team-- you won't regret it.

This group is incredible about keeping each other motivated. We've inspired each other to begin running and completing 5ks, buy bicycles and ride our wittle hearts out, drink the water (or not, in my case-- SpongeMarla-- don't ask, long story) and stay accountable to each other.

Bottom line, if you're willing to shed all excuses, we're ready to help you shed the weight.

We're no-nonsense, no excuse, no whining-- but lots of love and giggles.

Ladies and gentlemen-- we had a delightful surprise this day-- our neighbor went "crabbing" catching 84 "blue crabs" and delivered at least a third of 'em to us. Oh em gee-- what a treat. Even 3yo Josh was sittin' at the table suckin' out teeny-weeny crab legs.

Ohhh-- also, Aliah-- if you can't find us after this post, look for Black Team Week 10-- I'm going to post here and there-- if I remember, I'll come back and post a link--

Heading to type, my friends-- stay strong, our goals are attainable--

    You're all the best!

Sam how about a commitment to move your body for at least 30 minutes every day?

30 minutes above what you do in your everyday life. Walk, run, jog, wog, hike, bike, dance, play. Get out, get active and have fun! Try new exercise, try a new sport, find a new route to run. Something, anything and change up that routine!

All this dress talk makes me want to go shopping instead of the gym! I  shopping. Congrats on fitting into all these teensy tinsy sizes ladies! I want pictures.

I have spent countless hours looking for cute summer sundress type things. Most of them don't allow you to wear a bra and that is a necessity for me, so those are all out. I can wear Junior sizes now, but they are cut so small through the chest, once again, the bewbs don't fit in the allotted boob space on most of them.

Yep, still stalling with getting out the door......

    Morning black team,

Went for my daily walk/run this morning and I actually did more running then walking ( I left the kids at home this morning) so I could be a little faster.

5 miles done 530 calories burned took just a little over an hour.

Also I am training for my first half marathon in Oct. Oct 3rd to be exact, its 13.2 miles, I am alittle scared but also excited my husband said you are a great person when you set out to do something you do it. I said yep no sense in paying for it and not doing it.

Well off to go shopping out of veggies and fruit, then I am gonna pick up a shift tonight at the ole cracker barrel, I need some school clothes money as this year I have 2 going to school not just one.

    YA'll have a fabulous day......

Crabs...yummy! There is nothing better on a summer day in Maryland than some fresh steamed crabs (with lots of Old Bay, hold the melted butter) and cold beer. I have a group of friends from my old job that I normally get together with at least once a summer for crab night, but we haven't been able to get it together. I'm gonna have to go get myself a dozen before the season ends.

Hey everyone. Thanks again for the warm welcome! I really appreciate it. You guys are awesome :)

As for my mini goals, I am doing excellent. I just have to work on drinking more water. Yesterday, I only drank half a bottle of Poland Spring and 1 cup of juice. My fluid intake is horrible. Since I watch so much television. I'm going to give myself a little challenge. One swig of water for everytime a commercial comes on. This should help. :)

I completed the 30 minute challenge. I took Ashanti for a brisk 1 hour walk. I also went to the farmer's market and got tons of fruit and vegetables. Anybody know any zucchini recipes?

    Take care everyone

I just cut the zucchini up with onions, put a smidge of olive oil in the skillet and fry it-- some garlic, salt/pepper-- yummy.

I had them the other night...just brushed a bit of olive oil and pepper on them and let them go in the grill pan. Also, if you like to bake, zucchini bread is amazing and I tried a recipe for zucchini nut muffins (from the Hungry Girl website) that was yummy, yummy, yummy.

    Welcome Aliah!!

I may be the odd one in the group, but I like fresh zuchinni sliced and steamed with just a hint of salt.

The slices are also good raw in salads - kind of like cukes with a softer texture..

Yum,,, love me some farmer's markets...

Your pic looks great, who cares where it is! 11 months, that's a lot to lose in that amount of time. Way to go.

I am having a mini freak out. I was stupid enough to hit apply on the website when jobs were posted while we were on vacation. There were about 6 positions in Kindergarten to 3rd grade, which is my certification. I got a lot of 'sorry the job was filled' things like 2 days later, so I thought I was safe. Today I got a call for an interview! AHHHHH!

I go back and forth with this whole job thing- in fact I know I vented on here before about it. My kids are pretty self sufficient, they don't need me 24/7 like they used to- honestly they do their own thing more often than not. BUT, I've grown really happy with my life at home, doing my own thing, having time to myself, etc. I know the money would be huge, we really could use it. Sure it's not a big deal if we don't have it, but it would help tremendously. Every time I pay bills I think, "I need a job".

My DH doesn't care, he's happy with me at home, but I also see the gleam of 'less money worries' in his eye when I talk about working again. Hence, probably the reason I applied in the first place. I at least feel like I'm making an effort to help financially.

Who woulda thunk I would get an interview? Holy crap. I need to pay bills, I think I'll do it right before I go, then I'll be more into trying to get the job. There is a part of me that finds appeal in doing something. Staying at home isn't all that fullfilling in a professional way. Probably one of my biggest freak outs is wondering how I would work out? Silly, huh? Most of you have jobs and still do it! I can too.

I hope the job interview rocks Lori! You'll make the right decision - it's a tough spot though.

Hi guys - I'm back kinda. Been crazy, hectic and will continue to be that way. We will be changing computer systems first of August - going to be tough for awhile. Training the last week of July, trying to get all the ducks in a row, then BAM new system Aug 3. Yipes. Sooo not ready for this!

We finally found an attorney to take our case. Our back yard has been flooded out every summer for 5 years now and it is causing mold to grow in our house - we live in a mobile home and rent the lot. The water is from their irrigation line being cracked. They refuse to fix it. Last year we had the health department and EPA out there and nothing got done, finally this year the health department issued them violations so there was enough hard evidence for an attorney to get interested. Finally. However, living with the mold growing all summer is causing health problems also. We are supposed to be moving at the end of this month. I sincerely hope it goes through!!

So anyhow - that's my life at the moment. I browse here when I can, will try to post a little more. No change in weight yet, don't look for that to happen until we either move or the weather cools down and they shut off the irrigation system! Not gaining though  Happy with that anyway!

Hello BT!! Love and kisses to all.

I earned an hour early leave from work today and used it to book a massage. I am one happy camper right this moment.

Chicken in the oven cooking, good friends on line and the scale has been nice.

Tamara-You look so little and soooo young too! Keep it up girl!

Beth-So glad the dress fits. That is awesome. And you can find bras that help with the top part.

Tae-I see your ticker is still moving on up. 2 more pounds gone! Way to go Girl!!!

Vanessa-good to see you back in the game girl!

I hope everyone else is doing great too!!!! It was a long day at work and I am also tired but more so in need of a shower. It was very humid today. But on a good note, a lady I work with everyday side by side walked up to me today and said Girl the weight is just falling off of you. I said well I am glad you think so and thank you but the scale isn't telling me that. She said she could look at me and tell so that makes me feel better! Have a good evening everyone!!

How did everyone do with moving 30 extra minutes today? I have an hour lunch so I took a walk on my lunch instead of sitting on my lazy bupkiss.
