Ladies which do you prefer???

10% (muscular) is what I oogle at on my Hollywood crushes, but wouldn't necessarily expect to see on a "real guy". lol
14% would be totally drool-worthy, and more of what I'd expect to see on a "real guy."0 -
I like 10-14%0

I just like a little bit of extra body fat on men (and on women). I'm not saying the really lean guys look bad at all, but 12-16% in men is my preference. I totally admire the lean goes, and yes, they are still very "hot".
Truthfully, I just like men.0 -
Are all you girls just being coy? I would have assumed you'd all think the 10% muscular underwear model was ideal and the 14% guy looks like an average joe in OK or good shape. The rest look pretty bad to me. But then again I could never really wrap my mind around how you women can stand or be attracted to any of us guys.
Seriously!!!? Are you kidding me? You think 14% guy is an average Joe? He's beautiful! Where are you from that the average slob looks like that?!
No he's obviously not an average slob. He's obviously in good shape and well developed. He looks better than me! But he looks to me like a normal guy with normal height, proportions, bone structure, & hormones who's athletic. He doesn't look photoshopped, superhuman, roided up, or someone who's "won the genetic lottery" so to speak like what you'd expect an elite athlete, model, or Hollywood actor to look like. Maybe I just don't look at mens' bodies enough.0 -
10% is just for the eye candy but I would prefer my man at 14%0

14%-20%0

10% with muscle or 14% looks good to me.
Yep -- those are the only two I'm attracted to there (definitely more so 14%, not because I think 10 has too little fat, but just because I'm not a fan of his muscle development and proportions. His abs look awkward, and he's too much of a triangle for my taste.0 -
the results of this poll don't surprise me at all, as I know a lot of women don't prefer overly ripped/muscular physiques.
What does surprise me are some of the comments. I go to the gym 4 days per week for an hour and a half at the most. The 30% guy probably spends at least that watching TV and eating junk food. But who gets ridiculed?
No, I don't spend every waking hour in the gym and I even eat out when I want to. I just choose to watch my calories, live a healthy lifestyle and lift weights as a hobby. Some guys fix cars as a hobby, some guys run as a hobby, but they aren't stereotyped as narcissists with no personality
Yes, so true. Women are very quick to judge someone in awesome shape as self absorbed narcissists or as potential psychotic abusers. Unfortunately, the self absorbed, narcissistic, psychotic abusers come in ALL shapes.
Don't be slagging any man based completely on how he looks or how much time he spends in the gym. You may miss a real diamond.0 -
10% (with muscle) or 14%.0

14% is ideal haha but 20% is nice too0
-
10% with the 6pack!!!! but why no heads? think we'd get distracted by the looks? lol!!!! probably!
Although I prefer the 14% I wouldn't kick the 10% out of bed for eating crackers.0 -
14% xx0

Don't worry - we don't all think that way. There are tons of ripped guys at my gym who are super nice and friendly. There are also those who are total narcissistic A-holes. Every group has it's share of winners and losers. You can tell which ones are jerks by how they carry themselves and by observing how they treat others. I mean the people who don't like the muscle guys because they think they are too into themselves could say the same thing about the 30% guy. One could say he's too into his food and sitting around - maybe he doesn't care enough...That's not necessarily fair, either. Bashing thin women for being shallow and vain is in right now, too. None of that really matters, though. You wouldn't wan't a woman who isn't into you anyway, right? :flowerforyou:0 -
This is kind of nice to read. I've never checked my body fat, but I'd imagine its probably not far from 14% ish0

Too much of a triangle? LOL I didn't know there was such a thing! Wow I'm around 14% shooting for 9-10%. After this thread maybe I won't bother...0 -

So I'm curious, are some of you ladies in here gonna tell me that if personalities were the same that you'd choose the 14% or the 20% one over bodybuilders such as:
Greg Plitt
or
Nick Paniagua
or
Josef Rakich
All of these guys are roughly 7-8%.0 -

You are very blessed. It sounds like you have a lovely and healthy balance in your life... and a beautiful physique
I just think everyone should exercise more days than not and, as long as your generally healthy, I don't care what your body looks like. To look at me you'd never guess I run over 20 miles per week and can do an Insanity workout without breaks. My husband is on the soft side too, but at 6'3" and 275 he blows my mind and gives me butterflies every time he walks in the room.0 -

These guys look great and I can of course tell they are very disciplined, but I'd probably be more attracted to them during "bulking season". That's just my personal preference. I prefer big and muscular over "ripped".0 -
I used to train in kickboxing and would spar with this guy who was completely ripped. I loved kicking him and punching him in the stomach lol, it was a fascinating feeling! I have no idea what it's like to put my hands on someone like that in any other way, though *blush*... I'd probably be like a deer in the headlights!
I think it's awesome you all work hard to be ripped... it's just not, really the norm, so in the same way a lot of men find super hot women intimidating, super buff guys do the same for women... or some, anyway.0 -
All other considerations being equal, Mr. 14% gets my vote.0

Yep. I personally do not find that low body fat all that attractive. I admire the dedication, but it doesn't make my naughty bits tingle. It wouldn't be a dealbreaker, unless his lifestyle made him incompatible with MY lifestyle (ie, no potatoes or pizza), but it wouldn't be my first choice.
Ripped is an extreme look. I prefer a less extreme look.0 -
14%. muscular but not overboard. plus, i like boxer guys. usually they're pretty hot.0

Do you mean boxers as in guys who fight? I can't think of anything much that would put me off more (well, OK maybe homicidal tendencies, assaulting old ladies or small children, scrambling kittens for breakfast, that sort of thing...) Or do you mean boxers as in a type of men's underwear?0 -

I don't know about other ladies, but these guys are intimidating to me. I'd also be worried they'd be judgmental because my level of attention to fitness didn't equal their own. Guys like this aren't "get-able" to my mind. They date women who look like models, not women like me. 14% is more get-able. Get-able ups the attraction for me. If that makes any sense at all...0 -
14. The 10 with the muscle. Lift guys!!0

So reading over the pages of responses makes me a little irritated. I have always been attracted to heavier men. I was when I was 145lbs at 5'9" with 3 hrs of excercise daily and at my current weight (which is quite a bit more). It has never had to do with my size or fitness level its just what I have always found attractive. Furthermore I find it offensive that the 30% guy is often labeled "lazy". Just because he is heavier does not make him lazy. His fitness level may not be his top priority but who is to say he isn't heavier because he works two jobs (leaving no time or money for the gym) to make ends meet for his family? Who is to say that 30% guy doesn't spend all of his spare time volunteering or giving back to others instead of focusing on himself? I am not trying to bash those who like to workout and keep themselves fit. More power to ya. But please dont make assumptions about why I am attracted to heavier men or that heavier men are lazy....0

It's just a preference, so if I could put the same fantastic man into any body type, I'm going to put him in a higher fat, huge muscle body.
..but I wont be kicking any of these men out of bed. In fact, in this perfect world where I'm downloading consciousnesses into perfect bodies, I'm going to be asking for them all in the same bed.0
