I'm 5'4" and I started earlier this month at 249 which is pretty close to my highest weight ever. I'm now down to 239.5 and my current goal is 199. I'm hoping to get to 165, but I wanted to set several smaller goals along the way. I welcome any support and will gladly give support to anyone who needs it!

I'm 5'4 and I started around 215 after I had my oldest in 2008. I walked a few times a week and got down to 189 when I got pregnant again in 2009. In 2010, after I had my 2nd son, I finally started walking 2-4 miles a day and counting my calories on here. I got down to 148 just by doing that!!! It was so liberating. I literally just walked off my weight. I got pregnant AGAIN in November of 2010 so I had to stop trying to lose for a while. I got up to 188 I believe when I had my 3rd in July 2011 and have been doing pretty good since last summer with walking and my eating habits and doing toning exercises..I am now down to 136!! My goal is 125 so Im still trying to lose some more. Walk, walk, walk!!! And drink tons of water and eat tons of fruits and veggies!!! You can totally do it!!! It has taken me a little longer because I kept getting pregnant but I am done having kids.0

I am now at 208 and have another 60-70 to goo, but am more motivated then ever. I have finally accepted the gradual weight loss, and as long as I continue to go down and not up I will be happy. All the success and support of everyone one here is sooo motivating...good luck!0

I have lost 12 lbs so far. First thing you have to do it set your mind to doing this for life. It is a lifestyle change not a diet. If your mind isn't set to lose weight and eat healthy you will not succeed. Your mind is a powerful thing. I try to eat 1200 calories and walk for at least 30 minutes a day. I would like to work out more but I am really focusing on my diet first. When I get to my goal weight I will be a little more flexible on my diet.
Your going to be tempted and it is okay to fall off the wagon sometimes. Just get back up and try again!! You can do it. You should find someone to work out with. It helps keep you motivated!!! Good Luck!0 -

I'm 5'5" and I'm working on things.
SW: 195 (SW about a year ago...I was around 210 about 6 months out from having my kiddos and stayed there a long time)
CW: 168 (as of this morning but it's not official weigh in day so I haven't changed my ticker...I wear mostly size 10 now)
GW:155 (or lower...just depending but that weight I'm about a size 8)
I'd lost a chunk of weight last year but had been stalled out around 168-172 for the last couple of months. I decided to come back to MFP and make getting in shape and toning up my goal. I was tired of feeling flabby. I've gone through a divorce and my weight fluctuated with that too. Plus I'd quit smoking, and I think that wasn't helping with the weight coming off either. I figure slow and steady will work for me this time around (I'm a champion yo-yoer with my weight). I've decided now is a good time for me!
Currently, I'm doing zumba three times a week and 30 day shred or the treadmill the other days.
Hang in there...and if anybody is looking for a friend...since I'm newly back and decided to be social and seek some motivation from others this time around...let me know.0 -
5'3 1/2 here! But my license says 5'4....
