It looks a little better this week, good job blues. Don't worry Rach you will get it next week. Thanks for taking this on and doing the chart for us each week, we really appreciate it.
So we need a new challenge. How about working out at least 5 times before next Wed? Anyone have any other ideas?0 -
I have an idea for a challenge. I recently watched an episode of The Biggest Loser and they had to do 1000 steps in 30 minutes. They really worked up a sweat! But anyway . . . how about our goal is to do 1000 steps over the week. So you can break it up into 200 steps per day for 5 days. Or if that's too many, we could aim for 500.
Let me know what you guys think.0 -

I am game-- I may get dizzy going up and down my stairs that many times--but I may just pull out my aerobic step and do 200 a day. That would work I think. I am going to start the 30 day shred in the morning as I need a new challenge--this will go really well with it.0 -
Day 3 is completed with exercise and staying within my calories. I didn't use my HRM tonight when walking but I should have because I was really jamming to my MP3 player dancing and walking. :bigsmile:0

Good job Ladies!! I did really well with the no snacking at night. I think it may have broken my cereal habit.
About the steps, I just started using the stairclimber at the gym last week. I decided it was time to switch up the routine a bit. I do at least 20 minutes on that which is like 80 floors......I don't know how many steps. Anyway.....Good Luck to everyone!

Sounds like a great challenge! I have tendonitis & my leg/ankle does not appreciate when I do steps or a stepper, so I'm going to skip this one, but I do wish you all lots of luck & success!!
I enjoyed the no late night snacking challenge as well & I have to agree wiith pshook, that night time cereal is a habit & it's so hard to break!! So great job!!

So I did it!! I got up early and burned 950 calories :noway: with the 30 day shred and the 200 steps this morning plus extra! I went up and down my staircase (13 stairs) 10 times which I figured would be close enough. I wasn't sure if going down counted or not. :laugh: Have a great day everyone!0

Yeah, I think i figured out my problem on why i can't keep a steady pace of running. I neer thought I ran really fast ,but tonight in our gym boot camp she had us run on the bike path and i was running with another lady in the class. Well we were going much slower than i normally go and before i knew it, we had jogged 1 mile and i didn't stop once. Normally i would have stopped 2 or 3 times by then. I really think i can do this 5k now, i just really need to watch my pace. It was so much easier running with someone else though. Wish i had a running partner.

I had a burger and tots for supper tonight :grumble: tomorrow is my husbands birthday and its been one year since I started this lifestyle change. I can't believe it. I'm still going for thanksgiving to loose all my weight 26lbs. :drinker: It has been hot here which results in me having seizures. So I hope for cooler weather. I didn't walk tonight but I will walk double tomorrow night. :flowerforyou:0

Even though I've been working out every day this week, I stepped on the scale and am up two pounds. :noway: I don't get it. I haven't had anything particularly salty lately, but my fingers and feet have felt swollen every morning.0 -

Don't give up, it could be one of those really wierd hormonal things us women get every once in a while. Just don't step on that scale until the next weigh in and drink lots of water. Maybe that will help.:drinker:0 -

Don't let it get you down!! My guess is that while mowing that grass, you may not have been drinking enough water throughout & your body is just hanging onto it, hence your fingers & feet. Remember we're told to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day & we should be drinking more if we're working out. That's alot of calories to burn! Great job!! It'll fall off in a few days!! I would almost gaurantee it!!

So, I was very naughty today!! I've been struggling with tendonits for the last 3 months & was told that step class is o-u-t. :sad: :sad: But, guess where I was this morning!! Go ahead, guess!! That's right!!! STEP CLASS!! It was so awesome!! I haven't been there for 2 months!! I did take it easy with the bouncing & jumping & I felt just fine. I'm home now, I took by ibuprophen (sp) & my leg is elevated with ice, so hopefully I won't be too bad off. Wish me luck!!0

HUGS!! Don't be embarassed!! You such an inspiration here!! You can do it!! I know with me, that sweets are a no-no!! I can't let myself even smell them. I have no control! Every evening I crave something sweet after dinner & have found that a cup of decafe coffee, fatfree creamer & splenda does the trick. I'd much rather be eating a piece of cake or a big bowl of cereal or twobut, I just can't do that to myself! Some have suggested a creamy hot tea or even a chocolate protein shake smoothie with fruits & berries to beat a sweet tooth.
You can do it!! By the way, you look so amazing in your little black shorts!! You go girl!!0 -
Day two of the shred and 200 steps--boy am I sore. I didn't use weights and I am still feeling it. :glasses: That means I am doing something good! It's a holiday here and I am working the night shift tonight so that means potluck. I am taking vegies and plan on sticking with them but I really don't like potlucks and watching my intake!

So I did "Advanced Step" on the Wii Fit for a while - counting that as my 200 steps. And I just found out what's really in pizza and bagels.:grumble: So I'm over my calories for today. But at least I went out and exercised!0
