Sorry I've been MIA - I think I've been too busy chowing down to type *UGH*
I have been working out, drinking water, and for the most part only dipping into my exercise calories.

Tonight hubby brought home pizza and four (that's 4!!!) pieces later I was finally full. :noway: It was garden veggie so I still feel that even without willpower, at least I'm making smarter choices - and thanks to hubby for remembering my healthy choices.

On another note, this group is so inspiring with Sani and HMO and Chrissy (speaking of MIA) among others - thank you for sharing your journeys with us - someday I hope I'll be in a position to do the same thing. Cheers to you all :drinker:

Sanifrey---I just wanted to say that you look wonderful. Maybe you should write us a story about how you went about reaching your goal. They ar :flowerforyou: e always an inspiration!!

:blushing: Thank you!! I'll try to come up with something after my girls go to bed tonight. :flowerforyou:

I added a little more detail to my profile about reaching my goal, if you want to check it out....:blushing:

So I did "Advanced Step" on the Wii Fit for a while - counting that as my 200 steps. And I just found out what's really in pizza and bagels.:grumble: So I'm over my calories for today. But at least I went out and exercised!

Well I know the amount of sodium in one slice of pizza is unbeleiveable, easily 600mg sodium in one slice.
Anything else in the pizza? besides the sugar as well.

    What's the bad about bagels?

Thanks guys-I can beat this. I had chocolate cream pie for dessert here at the lake for my hubby's birthday, but had a great turkey supper and day earlier. Then my hubby and I power walked for an hour up and down the hilly terrain here. Burned 685 cals and definitely got my steps in!

Brad -bagels are a very heavy dough that are actually the equivalent of 5 pieces of bread! So may be have a half or try the mini ones. I just don't eat them anymore. Remember all your carbs can't be white-flour, rice, pasta, etc. Your doing so well!:drinker:

I was bad lastnight. I ate out and had a burger and tots. Not horrible. Its my DH birthday today and I didn't do too bad I have to say and I only had a small piece of cake. Tomorrow is when the trouble is going to start. I have a family Reunion and OMG they bring the bestest food. I am going to let my body tell me when I'm full and stop there. There is a hill there so I'm hoping that its not too hot so I can walk up and down it a couple of times. I will wear my HRM so I can burn something and then maybe when I get home and its cool enough I will go for another walk. I really want to see weight loss this week. I did good for 3 days straight and I know I can do this again. 26more lbs people and I get my tat and I really want to loose it by turkey day. :drinker:

You can do it, just be strong. Think os us sitting next to you saying you have to do 3 hours of walking for that high calorie food. Hope you have fun though, just make good choices.

Wow! Well, my goal this week is 1500 steps, because my mother and I went to the waterpark yesterday, and, it's ALL STAIRS.
Each ride is 75+ stairs (75 for the shortest ride) and I went on twenty rides.
I went nuts! It was a bunch of fun, AND I got tan, too! EVEN BETTER THOUGH, I didn't go crazy and pig out on all the bad food my mom brought with us.

The bad thing is... I've eaten all but 200 calories... and that was in about 3 hours. Yikes! I'll have to work hard not to overeat at dinner tonight.

    EDIT:
Also forgot to mention, after 6 months, I finally had my period. I was starting to get scared there. I'm going to try to weigh in this week, but I'm a little worried about what I might be at. =(

So I did 200 steps today. I used the Wii Balance Board as my stepper, but I didn't turn on the Wii while doing it . . . I really need to get my own stepper.

cellorocker - the same thing happened to me about a year ago. I went to see a doctor about it and they said maybe it was a result of my weight gain. Weird. I always thought an irregular period was from losing too much weight . . .

I ate candy AGAIN-but exercised and burned 900 cals. So I'm ok but up higher than I'd like. At least my hubby is eager to power walk/jog with me and motivates me. I ordered a Pedometer from Ebay and waiting for it. 10000 steps = 5 miles- to do daily? Hmmm, hopefully will be able to do it when I'm back to work. Hope you're having a good weekend. Kath

Oh, well I've had an irregular period since I first started when I was 11. It just scares me when I go more than 6 months without one.
Though... I shouldn't really have to worry about it... no problems in THAT department. =) If you know what I mean.

Alright the family reunion is done now and now I'm back on the wagon. I hope its going to be nice out tomorrow. We are trying to get our house ready to sell and put a bid on another house in the country. 6 bedrooms people. Holy crap is all I can say. It needs lots of work but its work we can due while living in it. We submitted an application this last week to see if we can get a loan and then go from there. So We are starting to pack stuff up and get things organized and even if we don't get the new house at least our house will be clean. I'm going to take after pictures tomorrow. I'm also going to take picture of the pants that were WAY too tight for me when I started one year ago to see the change I will post them tomorrow at some point. I'm also going to measure the pants to see how many inches around my waist i have actually lost. I can't wait to see it not only in pictures but also on the tape measure. I will also take pictures of myself in some of my summer clothes that I think I look "hot" in LOL.

    How is everyones weekend going??

Pictures have been posted. The dates are wrong I forgot to put the right year. Those pants were too tight to the point I was crying I couldn't go to church one year ago because nothing fit me. That was my breaking point. I put those pants on this morning and they are not only big in my waist but EVERYWHERE. I'm so proud of myself right now I can't even explain it.

j-you look awesome-way to go! This team is doing so awesome! I'll have to put in some pics and see if there is any differences. :ohwell: So my hubby and I paddleboated today. It was great! Then I swam and pushed it while he fished. I wore my HRM even in the water and burned about 360 in 30 min! And it was a great active rest day. Bad news-I ate pie again. Do you think if I ate sweets, but burned enough cals I'd be ok? Prob not.....

I everyone - I am back from vacation - did great with no gain - jogged/walked almost 5 miles 4 days while gone, plus swimming, shopping, walking the beach, etc.....

Not the best choices - when you eat out all the time it's hard to get in all the fruits and veggies - they just aren't out there. But here's to a new week!

Glad to be back! Hope you all had a great week.

Hey everyone! Sounds like you're all still plugging along. I've been busy spending time with the family while my little brother was in town for 2 weeks. On Saturday the Air Force shipped him out to New Mexico for the next 2 years! Had fun bonding with both of my brothers though.

Back to work though. I can't wait to get paid this week so I can afford groceries and can start planning my meals again. I've gone so far off track! I plan on doing p90x tonight and then heading to work on my car if weather permits. :flowerforyou:

Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was way too short. Didn't do anything special except chase after my two boys while hubby worked. Already looking forward to next weekend as he has most of it off and I think we may have family coming in all the way from the west coast (we're in NC).

Planned out my meals for the day. So IF I stick to my plan, I should have a good day. Went to Zumba over lunch. My HRM wasn't reading well so am hoping that my low calories burned was more because of that than because of me. Today was just hard! No matter how well I think I've got the moves down, there comes a day where I feel like I've got two left feet and one of 'em is wood  Truth be told, I feel that way all the time, not just in Zumba.

Congratulations!!! I just checked out your pics and you have changed so much! Keep it up!

This Saturday is weigh-in with my boyfriend. We gave each other an Aug 1 challenge. Mine is to be at 162lbs. His is to run 5 miles....since he doesn't really need to lose any weight. I'm at 163.4 with 4 days to go. :noway: I'm just gonna give it my all.

I hope you're all having a great Monday!

So how are you all doing with the step challenge? I have to make up for not doing yesterday's 200 steps. So far I've done about 600.

pshook - it's great that you have the extra motivation going with your boyfriend. I could use a weight loss partner too, but I guess that's a little of what MFP is for.

    Hey all.

I'm so excited this week. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
I had to put a new hole in my belt and started using that new hole. Last week I realized that it's time for me to put another new hole, but I hated how my shorts/pants "folded up in front" because they had excess material. I had tried on some older pants a few weeks ago, and said, nope not ready.

This morning I went and tried some of those older pants.
A bunch of 36" jeans. They fit and aren't tight.
Can I get a WOOOO HOOO!!!
I added back into my wardrobe approx 5-7 dress pants and jeans that I couldn't wear for a few years.

Previously before starting this lifestyle change back in March/april I had to go out and buy a few dress pants and shorts that were 40-42". That's when I told myself it's time.

I have started putting my 40's and 42's pants, up on the top shelf., and as of today I'll start putting my 38's to join them.
I'll have to have a memorial service for them:tongue::laugh: I do not ever want to put them on again.

I met my first goal!!    Hooray, I stood on the scale and was down 2 lbs from last week. It really can be done. My new routine must be working and the great thing is it is so doable and I am enjoying it. :noway: I finally get the ipod that has been sitting in the closet for 6 mo because I hadn't made it to my 10% goal yet. I am there now. HipHip Hooray!! I am so used to losing barely a pound every week and maybe gaining that I am a bit shocked at the number and half expect it to jump up tomorrow. But I did it!:smokin:
