I am limited on time today for workout so I think I'll either go for a run at lunch or a 30 minute stretch on the elliptical...I have a dear friend who is having surgery today - bi-lateral mastectomy and tissue expanders inserted - she's doing it pre-cancer - her mom died from breast cancer and she has like a 90% chance of getting it.....anyway I am going to see her at the hospital this evening - I've tried to be her voice of reality thru it since I've been thru it. ....... OK so go get your mammograms and do self checks - very important - done with my ramble!

    Hey all.

I'm so excited this week. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
I had to put a new hole in my belt and started using that new hole. Last week I realized that it's time for me to put another new hole, but I hated how my shorts/pants "folded up in front" because they had excess material. I had tried on some older pants a few weeks ago, and said, nope not ready.

This morning I went and tried some of those older pants.
A bunch of 36" jeans. They fit and aren't tight.
Can I get a WOOOO HOOO!!!
I added back into my wardrobe approx 5-7 dress pants and jeans that I couldn't wear for a few years.

Previously before starting this lifestyle change back in March/april I had to go out and buy a few dress pants and shorts that were 40-42". That's when I told myself it's time.

I have started putting my 40's and 42's pants, up on the top shelf., and as of today I'll start putting my 38's to join them.
I'll have to have a memorial service for them:tongue::laugh: I do not ever want to put them on again.

WAY TO GO!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU! :drinker: Now throw away those large sizes! Never mind the top shelf! You will never be that size again, right? And you sure never want any excuses and have those available to you! Keep on goin', whatever you're doing is working!

Deb-WTG also-I'M SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU TOO! Keep on goin':drinker:

Crappy day at the lake today AGAIN, sure just makes you want to stay in bed. The grouch in the next bedroom keeps nagging me to go home cause she doesn't have work out here when the weather is bad. (she works at the Marina). I am behind in my strength training as I took last night off and watched the Batchelorette Finale. Ahhh, fresh love, the unrealistic romantic crap of it all. Love the show though, hmmmm:huh: . So I think I might stay here and get some of it done. Maybe home tomorrow again. My Back to Work Meeting is on Thurs., so I'll find out when I start back! Then, surgery on Aug 7, and can't do anything for 2 weeks! :noway:

Chrissy-what did you name your baby?

YOU WILL NEVER GAIN IN BACK. TRUST YOURSELF. And if you were to put a few back on, those old clothes are worn out, stretched out and time for the trash, or as a give away. Get rid of it, your closets will thank you! And you get to reward yourself with something new!

I had a great 2 hour workout with weights today at the lake here. Burned 1000 cals or so, and can feel it already. Wall Sat for 3:30 min! Best yet! And I Planked longer too! Join our Challenge-check the thread I started, "I WALL SIT CHALLENGE YOU". We record our wall sits and planking, and moan and groan, but we're all improving! Later.....:drinker:

    So I did 1000 steps!!!!!!!!!!

chrissy - I understand how you feel about the breast cancer screening. I am at a high risk for it since both my grandmother and great-grandmother had it.

hmo - I am obsessed with The Bachelorette too! But I did exercise during the commercials! I saw your challenge, and I may join it soon. I've just been really busy right now . . .

    Hope you're all doing good.

    I'm craving a salad.
    This must be good, right?
Instead of 'taters and beef, a nice big salad with a little dressing sounds nice.
    Woohooo!

    Thanks everybody.
Yes I say burn the fat clothes, or give them away.
They won't be staying on the top shelf, because I will not become that heavy again.

Well I went to a midnight shift this week, so it sorta screwed up my sleeping and eating.

My last chance workout, today was.
When I woke up, Power 90 Sculpt 3/4 for 580 calorie burn. (120+squats and 50 pushups incl)
I went for a walk with the fiancee for a couple of miles and burned 350 calories more.

At lunch, I brought my roller blades, and at 4am, going to go roller blade in our parking lot. It's a beautiful night out, and we have a HUGE parking lot probably 200 yards long.

When I get off work, I also plan on going on a 8 mile bike ride before I go to bed.

Since I weight myself after waking up, etc. it'll be too late to post tomorrow night.
    Last week 204.
    This week 202. wooo hooo.

I can't wait to get into the 100's. it's been quite a few years.

Thank you too. I don't feel very encouraging but I know through this website I can make that change. It really is very empowering to me. Much more so than any other"diet" or lifestyle change I have attempted. I know I can do it and the numbers tell me that I can. This group is helpful too just to have someone to report to. I don't report very well to myself. Happy weigh in everyone!

Well we have scale at the lake, but my DH says it weighs in low. So, I don't want to have it fake. I'll weigh myself when I get back I guess. This is my "low time" of the month, but not really sure when I can weigh in. Maybe tomorrow when I get back into town. I'll keep you posted. I ate candy last night, but according to my cals, didn't go over. :drinker:

Okay... can someone PLEASE explain this to me?! I have ate well all day long. Then, I decided to run home on my lunch break and get a couple pieces of this amazing bbq mango tilapia I made last night. Still within my calories. Well... while I was there, for no reason at all, I had Wheat Thins, a couple little cupcake liners of low-cal cheesecake, a little debbie raisin cake and three handfuls of cheese balls followed by a couple drinks of Pepsi. I am over my cal's for the day... even with the exercise I've factored in! 700 calories worth of exercise! This happens every so often and it's like I am completely out of control. I don't like it. I don't feel good after I do it. I just don't know how to stop it or what causes it!

It's also really embarrassing. Not something I would EVER do in front of anyone. :embarassed:

I have problems like that too. If I let myself get too hungry then I feel out of control. Remember that you are the only one putting food in your mouth and you do have control! I find the best control for me is to not even have it in the house. If I don't buy it I can't eat it. In fact if you find something is really tempting you and you don't want to eat it-throw it on the floor stomp on it and throw it away. You won't eat it then!!
Slow down your thinking and go through what happened today were you stressed, were you thinking something that bugged you. I sometimes give myself permission even though I didn't realize it, and soon the just this once is all the time. I have found that I eat a lot more in group settings, with company so I am looking at how to be better with that. We each have our cues we just need to recognize them and then work on it.

Don't worry I think we have all done that before. I know I have multiple times! :noway: You do have the control and you can do this. Just always log everything and get rid of the stuff that is too tempting.

    Good luck!!:flowerforyou:

I agree with debnu1! You can take back control. We've ALL been there - I'm still there. If you really want to find out what's your trigger, try journalling. It doesn't have to be a long entry - maybe just a few emotions written down now and again throughout the day. Then if you have another day like this, perhaps it'll give you some insight.

I swear by journaling. Or blog it out. (And throw it out!) Keep yourself busy so you're not tempted. Read something funny. Watch TV and exercise during the commercials. And if you can't bear to throw food out, at least hide it where you're not likely to look. Or get someone to hide it for you!:blushing:

Okay, I have a success to share. I may have gained this week, but I'm definitely doing something right. I actually ran for 5 minutes straight. After my strength class at the gym our instructor challenged us to 5 minutes on the treadmill. I did it and I made it the entire 5 minutes. I have never liked running and I hated it while I was doing it, but now I feel such a sense of accomplishment. I might even try to do it again soon!
