i believe women shouldn't have hair growing below the eyelashes. lol. so i shave everything. all the way up my leg and more! :)
I'm proud to be a woman, not a little girl.

The idea that a woman shouldn't have any hair anywhere comes from porn and reminds me too much of guys who like 'em a bit too young.

So stop watching so much porn, perv.

    See how smart she is?

    Love Kenzie :)

I agree...and that to me, when it's something you REALLY don't want to do...is where the compromise should finally come in. Prior to that, I just do the things she'd like me to...and go happily on my way knowing she's happy too, which is my main goal. Most people today...it's either what they want, or too bad. And the best part...is if ANYONE else catches word that a husband wants his wife to do something for him, or is unhappy about something she's 'doing for herself'...man, does the foot come down on his controlling, abusive *kitten* :).

    Agree, 100%
    And thanks <3

I usually shave below the knee. I shave frequently, so it has to be done fast and knees + razors + speed = blood.

And I never have to go above the knee. Didn't realize girls had to...? Wha??

I don't shave any higher than my knees. I have very fine blond hairs and they aren't even noticeable. If I started shaving, they'd just grow back thicker and darker, so I am fine. Plus, the boy has no complaints and the sex isn't lacking because of it, so whatevs.

Only below the knees. Above them I don't grow any hair, luckily!

Well I shave it all but thats for me, not for my husband. I will keep the details as to why to myself but it may come to a surprise, but everything I do isn't for what a man wants. Taking care of myself, being fit, the way I dress, make-up etc has nothing to do with whether some man finds it attractive. Luckily my husband does enjoy what I do, but I do it all for me first!

Of course and as it should be.

I tend to disagree. If I were married, and my wife wanted me to shave my legs...why shouldn't I? I don't care what other people think of me anyhow...and its her opinion that matters in the short term, and long term. The same if she DIDN'T want me to shave elsewhere...or DID want me to shave elsewhere. What difference does it make?

*shrug*...I guess I just don't get this whole 'Do for you, and if your spouse is happy, good for them...and if not, too bad!' sentiment that's taken root in our society.

    Respectfully,
Actually, I just thought it was great that she was doing it for herself first. But, that's not saying that there wouldn't be, couldn't or isn't any compromise ! I love the stuff shaven, omg do i, but if she(generically speaking) trimmed it that would be fine too. letting it go wild.. well, it might be a little scary going into a jungle while trying to play.

I understand...and of course I wouldn't make a sticky point ouf of something so silly in a relationship either. I was more commenting on the overall idea, rather than your specific post, or even her specific post, if you know what I mean.

I think it's great she's doing it for herself too. I would think it was just as great if she were doing it for her partner. I wouldn't think it was as great if she were doing it for herself, despite her partner.

Best of course, is when you're doing it for both of you :).

I had an ex bf who loved the hairy look but I'm not a fan of it personally. A hairy crotch doesn't look cute in lace underwear, just sayin'. Either way, I just grew some fuzz in the winter then waxed in the summer lol. It worked out well for both of us.

I used to only shave to just above the knee but then I shaved above as I have dark hair (but wasn't all that bad.. looking back) and now obviously I always (every few days) need to shave above, since I started, so my advice, if you don't really need to.. don't do it. :)

Only to the knee...and I am really bad in that I only shave maybe once a month. Can't stand shaving...tried waxing a month or so ago, but didn't like that either. No relationship with hubby so don't have to worry what he likes. And, frankly, I feel if people at the pool don't like what they see, then they need to stop looking.

I shave once every other week (if that) in winter and up to twice a week in summer (once just to the knee, once to mid-thigh). I'm naturally blonde so above the knee isn't visible unless you're looking for it. I only own one pair of shorts that goes above the knee so it's not like anything is visible. If I'm going to be in a bikini, I go all the way up. I shave my pits every day.
I'm two treatments into lasering my lady bits and armpits. It will take about 12 treatments total over 2 years. It is pretty permanent (may need the occasional touch-up). The best was to describe the feeling is like taking a very small rubber band, like the kind used on braces, and snapping it on the skin. It's not the most fun I've had with my pants off but it's not the worst thing that's happened. I'm just looking forward to not having to shave again.
I'm quite pleased with the husband. He shaved his legs once after he saw me rub my fresh shaved legs on clean sheets. It's an amazing feeling. He immediately understood the clean sheets thing and also noticed how well the muscle tone in his legs stood out. He shaves regularly now. And freshly shaved legs on freshly shaved legs... wow. He also keeps his armpits shaved because I despise armpit hair and I'm the only one who ever sees his armpits.

I'm of Irish/Scottish heritage. Not necessary.

I have an adopted daughter who is 100% Armenian. She is 4 and already has more hair on her legs than I have everywhere. I suspect she will shave above her knees. It's a small price to pay for the spectacular hair on her head:

It works best on coarse, dark hair and light-medium colored skin.
Unfortunately it does not work on dark skin or blonde hair.

There are lasers that work on blonde hair, you're just not going to find them in an at-home kit (I wish). I'm naturally blonde with fair skin and I go to an aesthetician with a few different types of lasers. She just makes a few adjustments to whatever it is that adjusts and a week later a bunch of hairs fall out. Depending on what area you're lasering, the hair may be darker than on your head. My armpits and nether regions are a bit darker than my head so the laser can "find" the hair follicle.

A warning, there is an in-between period when a good deal of the hair has been killed off but not all of it. You can end up looking a little mangy. You can shave during this period (and need to before appointments) but you may look a little strange. Luckily, my husband's best friend's wife is doing my treatments. She tells me what I need to know, and the best friend has permission to answer any questions my husband may have. Dinners out were a tad bit awkward at first but we've gotten over it.

I Nair it, except my lady bits, I use fun stencils and a special shaver for that area. I change what shape I use monthly though.

About the lasering...what if you want the hair back one day?

I'm worried when I get super old that so will everything else down there lol. I'll want to hide it with some hair at that point.

I shave calves and pits and my lady bits. But that's it.
I have light brown hair on my forearms but it's not a bother for me so if someone else thinks it is, I couldn't care less.

I don't grow hair on the upper part of my legs so have never had to shave above the knee.
