Girl, embrace the womanly curves you have. God gave women extra cushion on that area of their thighs for a reason..........

I don't understand the obsession with thigh gaps... I mean it is just a gap... between your thighs...

Gap or no gap. Love your body. I've always had one, even at my highest weight. it's just how I'm built.

Not until MFP did I have any idea this was actually coveted.

I carry weight in my thighs and I'm pretty sure I'll never have a thigh gap. So I guess I'll always look like a heffer. :(

Yeah me too. I thought "the thigh gap" was strictly an obsession us chicks had about our own bodies. I guess some guys buy into the "bee-ess"
BTW my obsession about guys isn't a "V" it's having nice powerful looking forearms..I guess I have the "Popeye the Sailorman" obsession!

i always seen thigh gaps as a sign of being underweight. the only girls i know that have them are around 100 pounds. it is not something i strive for or find aesthetically pleasing, maybe thats just me. my goal is a tiny waist. we all have things we like. eh.

NOPE not true! No matter how much I gain I have one.
  • I saw a girl on campus today in yoga pants with the hottest thigh gap. Just sharing :)

I love the thigh gap! Or maybe I just like seeing women in their underwear.

I have a guy friend that loves the thigh gap on women, he thinks it is sexy, clothes or no clothes!

It's not coveted, generally speaking, it's the latest craze amongst the thin-spo crowd.

Genetic. I have fairly wide hips, but I haven't had a gap since puberty. I have muscular thighs. I store fat there, too, but I'm not flabby by any stretch.

On the other hand, my brother's mother in law is an adorable, tiny and not skinny by any means 90 year old woman, and she has and always had a gap. It kind of makes her look like she's shaped like R2D2 at her height and proportions.

If you're meant to have one, you'll have one. If you're not, you won't. It's not a yardstick to measure you're success on.

The only girl I know who has a thigh gap is bull legged. Its not attractive. At least hers is not. While my thighs don't rub together i don't have a gap. Its not something I care about either. By the way, my nickname was legs in college. Didn't have a thigh gap back then either.

...It's not just for thin-spo folks, I would like to not have my thighs chafe when I wear a skirt though. *siiiigh* I guess I'll always have that problem unless it magically appears within the next 30 pounds lost.
