In high school I preferred the "bad boy," mostly because of the way they looked. I found the look sexy. As I got older (only 26, but hey), I found I was more attracted to nice, motivated, smart men. I married one, in fact. So...I'd say now I prefer the "nice guy."

Nice guy or bad boy is a false dichotomy.

A bad boy...that is nice when with me.

I've gone for bad boys forever, I think there is something wrong with me as I always found nice boys boring, sorry nice boys.

    I married a bad boy.

    Reading comprehension fail!
but assume you can't have both. Assume you have to pick one

Here's the equation, from years of observation:

Good Man >> Bad Boy >>>>>>> NiceGuy (wimpy doormat)

Given the choice, the answer is usually "Bad Boy".

My guy is the perfect mix of both. If I could only choose one, I'd pick nice. I need a sweet guy.

Someone define 'bad boy' for me??

Is it a physical thing or an attitude thing? I'm 29 and still miffed by the 'bad boy' concept......

Haha cheers for that - in my experience women like the idea of a bad boy rather than the reality of it, most of the 'bad boys' I know are complete tools.

From my experience, women are able to tolerate the bad boy for a longer period of time, out of hopes they can change him. Story of my life. But the former bad boys, who want to be the nice guy now, that's where it's at. We know we still have it in us, and we'll bring that out where it matters most, protecting you, and in the bedroom.

My husband is a 'bad' boy, but then I am a 'bad' girl. Bad = social dissonance with the main stream bs. :smokin:  :smokin:

I think you can definately have a bit of both in you, although i'd never consider being good in bed or being able to protect your girl being a 'bad boy' - maybe i'm taking the concept too literally!

I define it on attitude, morals....look isn´t all.

i like geeky, nerdy, dorky men. they complement me the best.

i guess that is considered 'nice'

bad boys are totally overrated, but i see why younger females like them.

Has to be a nice guy to me and to family, bad boy when someone messes w me or family. I don't like being the protector in the relationship.
  • Ladies be careful for what you ask for. Because that is what your going to wind up with. :)

    A good* guy!

Not a pushover, and not someone who takes advantage. But one who seeks to do the right thing, his best, and also looks out for others. A good person. He can have "nice guy" qualities as well as some "bad boy" qualities, but he will be grown up, respectful, and not selfish for the most part :)
