Why do you delete people?

I delete people if they cross lines in PMs (creepers). I delete people who don't interact with me. I delete people if I feel like they aren't adding some value to my experience here. I value the fitness & motivation posts, but I also have some friends here who just crack my *kitten* up. Oh, I've also deleted people for being overly perky and posting banal crap constantly.
I think you should make what you want of your experience here. It's nobody's business to tell you when and why you should or shouldn't delete anyone.0 -

Did you interact with them regularly?
I have deleted people if they aren't friendly, AKA don't interact with me.
No one likes a one sided friendship, or profile stalker.0 -
I delete for all kinds of reasons - if I feel like I don't have a specific connection with someone, if they don't log in often, if they are doing stupid and/or unhealthy things, if it's Thursday....0

I was going to be snarky, as usual, but decided to be serious for once. <insert gasps of surprise>
I divulge a lot of personal info on my status and wall. Therefore I only add people and keep them if I feel like there is some kind of trust and some interaction. It's not necessarily personal, though sometimes it is. Mostly if I scroll through my list and see your name and have no clue who you are or how you got there, you probably won't last.0 -
I haven't deleted anyone. Yet.
The list is not that large at this point.0 -
I have a large friends list that I TRY to keep under control (I fail). I want to be able to interact with and support my friends. So I hate turning down new requests just to keep people on my list who never talk to me anyway.
And if you didn't notice until now that they cut you, it's really not a big deal to you anyway.
Plus half the time it's just some weird MFP glitch anyway. That does happen.
See he is always the "voice of reason" now let get my pencil and poke his avatar.0 -
I'm surprised daily when someone hasn't deleted me...

I'll add just about anyone who sends a request (with a note!) but I'll delete for many reasons, including not logging in, not eating enough, whining all the time, or basically if I feel like I wouldn't like someone in real life.0
-
I delete people that no longer log in. If you are gone 30 days, I'm not spending time on you.
Sorry.0 -

Same here... I try not to really treat this like FB (where I deleted myself about a year ago, and have not regretted it for a pica-second).0 -
I delete people when I get overwhelmed by the number.
I try to interact with everyone on my list so, when it gets too big, I have to make cuts or I get overwhelmed.
Typically, I will delete those I interact with the least.
The only other reason I will delete someone is if they put down others for being less than perfect aesthetically or if they belittle/negate the reality of mental illness.0 -
IT MAKES ME FEEL SO GOOD ABOUT MYSELF! I HAVE THE POWER! YOU HAVE TO EARN THE RIGHT TO BE MY FRIEND!! MAY YOU BE BLESSED AGAINST MY WRATH IF YOU DELETE ME THOUGH
HA HA HA........... I got nuthin.0 -
I delete them if they don't login for a month. You're also going to get deleted if you post a status every 10 minutes.
This is me to a 'T'!!0 -

Hmm.
eta: I'm new here and haven't deleted (yet).0 -
I rarely even check the number on my friends list to see if it's gone up or down, I only delete people that haven't been active in 6+ months or who are really just waaaay too hard on themselves (genuinely crying/beating themselves up about a candy bar, etc).
I recall deleting someone that was an alcoholic as well, because they would get drunk, binge, and then whine about it, then brag about going out to drink again, etc. Constant cycle. Not very uplifting.0 -

Well, you let me look up your skirt Clown, so you're a keeper.0 -
I typically delete people if we don't really interact or for obvious reasons like they did something a-holeish.
I like to have a personal relationship with the people on my friends list, so I go through on a weekly basis and kinda "weed out" those that I haven't really been interacting with. And then of course, people who haven't logged in for like 2 weeks or something. I'm serious about health and fitness and I want like-minded friends.0 -
