I'm gonna go watch it. You have any idea how many single women are going to be at the theater to go see that? I'm just gonna lift up my shirt and ask them if they wanna take "Magic Eduardo" home instead

  That's awesome. Don't forget to log on to MFP. We want to know how that works out for ya!

Not! I agree 100% I don't need to fantasize about some actor that is probably a shallow idiot in real life. I'd rather spend time with my family. And it's a stupid morally bankrupt story to boot!

Such an awesome first post!!!! :flowerforyou:

I'm not going to see it for the acting.

That's like buying Playboy for the articles.

That's my point, though. The sexy stuff in it isn't sexy to me at all. If there's a good story to watch, it's worth it. But male strippers turn my stomach, no matter what they look like. I don't like it at all.

you know, that's funny... b/c Matt Bomer won the New Generation Arts and Activism Award at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards ceremony because of his work to combat HIV/AIDS. (source: http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2012/02/14/matt-bomer-comes-out-while-receiving-humanitarian-award/)

Channing Tatum works with a LOT of animal charities; mostly b/c that's his wife's passion, admittedly, but he's still putting in HOURS as well as his name and face. (source is his own website: http://channingtatumunwrapped.com/category/personal/charity-work/ )

Matthew McConaughey works with DOZENS of charities (listed here: http://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/170-matthew-mcconaughey )... it's not ALL his pro-hemp activism.

Joe Manganiello works for cystic fybrosis (source: http://www.trueblood-news.com/joe-manganiello-helps-bring-awareness-to-cystic-fibrosis ) as well as working a LOT for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (he's a PGH native)

yeah... morally bankrupt... sure. just b/c someone is fit and pretty doesn't mean they aren't also a good person. shallow idiots indeed.

Me neither, I don't like strip clubs and don't find muscly men attractive. I'm sure I'm the minority in this matter too. :/

I don't find a man attractive simply because he has muscles. If he has those muscles from fighting fires or preparing for war, I'm there. But muscles for the sake of muscles does NOTHING for me! I'm never more turned on than when the boyfriend has on his fatigues and you can't see muscles through fatigues.

    Um ... anyway ...

Not what I was saying in my OP. lol I don't care if others want to see it. I don't judge anyone for it. It's a movie and if people like it, then they like it. I'm just trying to decide if it's worth my time -- if there is a story to it that's worth watching (moral or not).

Although, with my track record lately, I'll end up sitting next to someone with a small child and feel incredibly uncomfortable the whole time.

And, also, my main point was the idiot on Rotten Tomatoes reviewing a movie he hasn't even seen!

I will probably just wait til I can rent it. Lol

Bah. There's no plot, this is a silly, silly movie. It's incredibly shallow to watch a movie just to watch attractive actors.

Now excuse me while I get back to my movie. It's called Scarlett Johannson and Christina Hendricks Wiggle.
The plot? Scarlet Johansson and Christina Hendricks just stand around and wiggle. For two hours.

    This! hehe

I can't wait to see it. Yes, there is SO much more to a guy (or woman for that matter) than what they look like, but I'm ok with ogling a few fine specimens once in awhile. I mean come on...Matthew Mcconaughey.. shirtless?? I'll watch that any day (and maybe twice on Sunday!)

    Yep :)

my friends and I were contemplating the midnight showing. LOL

There is no harm at looking at some pretty men for an hour. If nothing else, it's getting to go out and giggle with the girls for 2 hours.

For sure going to see :)

Matthew McCaughey is the least attractive guy in the cast (IMO). What does that tell you?? I'm going to be wearing at least 5 belts and 5 pairs of pants, bc those boys are going to make my pants fly off whenever they get on the screen.

I saw the previews at the theater last weekend. It actually looks pretty funny and the back story is a love story. So you might find it a good time with friends.

To me, this is one of those movies where I could throw my ipod on and sit in the theater while playing my favorite songs and just watch. I don't care if there is a plot. I don't care what they say. This could be a silent film. I am going solely to watch beautiful men. Love em!

 I'm not interested in going to see it at the theatre, but I'm sure the appeal is not for its cinematic excellence.

I told my husband its going to be a great place for single guys to hang out...just waiting for pumped up ladies to come out of it all wound up afterward...hahaha.

I'm not into stripping either.... however my screen boyfriend is going to be on as the main character and I think it might be pretty funny so atleast I would get a laugh out of it.

I probably won't see it. But I agree on the eye candy especially Matthew.
