My Pops is doing better today, he was up and about and said he felt very good, he's still in ICU as they want to monitor his heart for another day before moving him upstairs, his Dr said he did have a small heart attack from the blockage he had, but the stint is doing its job, the will do another dye test tomorrow to see if the smaller clot in his heart, the one they cant get to, is being dissolved by the clot busters. All in all, much better day, thank you for your thoughts and prayers!
Looks like another busy day here at the shop, and hot as a beast outside.

@CrysButcher- 5" is freekin awesome! Keep measuring, its a GREAT motivator!

@Superfreak- good luck on your interviews!

@Roni_M- Happy 8 months! Have a great time at your concert, and btw, HUGE difference in your pics, thats fantastic progress!

@Deedsie- great time on those runs

@Shirley61- dont worry too much about the scale, I'm sure you'll be right back on track.

And to everyone else who posted their losses this week, Way to Rock IT!!

I was in such a hurry last week I didn't put the weight in beside the date, only at the top. Haha, I screw the beginning of every challenge up in some way. At least I didn't miss weigh in like last time.

So another victory today and this time it was at the gym....my heart no longer works as hard as it used to. :) At the beginning of my C25K training (about 5 months ago. I had to take 2 months off due to a knee injury and just restarted the program 5 weeks ago) my heart used to beat around 195 when I would jog at 4.0. I got my heart rate today and it was 172 while jogging for longer at a 4.2! That's over a 20 bpm difference!! I'm so excited that I can finally see a numerical difference in how hard my heart is working to keep me alive while working out. I can't wait to see that number drop even lower as I continue to get healthier.

@shadowkitty-what an awesome NSV! It is so important to realize that we are doing more than just monitoring the scale. WTG on getting healthier!

Hi All! Back home. I love visiting my in-laws, but it will be nice to have my own bed tonight! :) I am happy I will have my scale tomorrow, so I can figure out how I managed while away. I did make the mistake of weighing in when we got home (late evening versus my usual first thing in the AM weigh in). I didn't like what I saw, and for dinner I ended up having 3 servings of frosted mini-wheats. What a duh-head move. I should have waited until morning as a weight late day does not compare at all to first thing in the AM....

Crystal - great results with your measurements!!

bcdpara - so glad to hear your dad is doing better. what a stressfull day!

surferfreak - good luck with your 2 interviews!

delonda - great suggestion for breaking thru a plateau

Nancy, Beatrix, Stripey007, emily & Cindy - great job on losing this week! Woo Hoo!

Roni - you are amazing! 80 pounds gone & you're still rocking good numbers! Hope you had fun at the concerts!

Kristy - Happy Belated! The scale results must have been a fabulous birthday gift!!

Victoire2012 - maybe continue shred & add some cardio? When I was successful with weight loss about 5 years ago, I was consistently doing 30 day shred + cardio stuff. I was in the best shape strength & cardio wise I had been in a long time. (hmm. maybe I should take my own advice & do the same thing!) :0) Glad you had a good loss this week!

Deedra - Fantastic job on your 5K!!! Great loss this week!

Shirley - good luck with your Monday weigh in!

shadowkitty - what an amazing NSV!!! So happy for you :)

Wishing you all a Wonderful Sunday! For the MONDAY weigh in group - LAST CHANCE WORKOUT DAY!!!! Let's kill it!!

    Hugs,

    Amy :0)

I am so pumped at seeing a 2.8 pound loss!!! It has been a long time since I have seen that big of a loss! I had to step on the scale multiple times this morning just to make sure I wasn't dreaming! 160 was my goal for the Thin in my Skin Challenge, and even though I didn't make it to the majic number then, I am so happy to see it now! Now my thought for this next week is to stay on track so I can keep going in the right direction. Have a Sensational Sunday!!!

Don't know where that 178 from Tuesday went.
1459 avg cal/day over the past 6 days (goal is 1560.)
1069 expended exercise calories over the past 6 days.
Looking back, I only did my 3 C25K runs and spent about 40m in total on the elliptical.
Looks like I need to kick it up a notch to break this plateau!

    Keep it going, everyone!
OH!, And I've been getting at least 8+ cups of water/day in!

" (don't know how to quote LOL)

    Amy,

You know a few people have suggested that I add cardio or do the 2 days shred 1 day cardio routine. I think I may have gone about this the wrong way.

I am going to do JM I-Fit cartridge on my treadmill this week and then give the shred another shot next week.

    Thanks for the advice.

"Welcome Back Home" - I know the feeling of Home Sweet Home...I did a little traveling to vist my sister in Phoenix and my dad in LA (from Indianapolis-both trips in the same week...yikes). Talk about food temptations - I was so proud to stay under my calories (maybe my macros were a little wonkers..but oh well).

    Thanks again,

    Lolita

Hello all "old" and "new" members of a Kristen challenge:-) I just returned from vacation late Friday night and knew that on Saturday morning I had to face the scale to see how much damage was done while I was away. Almost 4 pounds up, but I knew much of that was salt and water weight. We were in San Francisco visiting my daughter and her Chef husband.....need I say more???? We either ate wonderful "Chef David" creations that are never low calorie, or we went out to dinner at some very fine restaurants.

One positive about our trip was that we spent 2 days in Yosemite and did some hiking as well as a lot of walking in and around San Francisco. It was a wonderful trip and even when making changes to your lifestyle you have to live.....

I had a great first day back yesterday....played 3 sets of tennis and ate within my numbers. This morning I weighed myself and was down 2 pounds from yesterday....makes sense since I was up all night peeing like a racehorse.....lol

I'm off to the gym to burn some calories while I watch Wimbledon. Have a great day everyone!! Here's hoping for great weigh ins tomorrow:-)

Feeling good about the difference from last week, but also have been feeling so much stronger thanks to 30DS. Woohoo! I think I'm going to post inch losses at my mini goal weights, if anyone else wants to join me (or if, like me, you care more about how you're feeling/looking instead of that number on the scale)!

I just wanted to drop in and see how everyone has been doing? It has been a really rough week for me. The warm weather and BBQ's make it a challenge. I always said...."I love a challenge!"

Hopefully tomorrow I will be on target.

Wishing you all a relaxing day!

    ~Marcy
