what do you sweeten your tea and coffee with?

Nothing. I like my coffee/tea black!
Same here! Or try a tiny bit of vanilla silk, it is sweet, plus it adds a little creaminess. But I usually take mine black.0 -
coconut sugar by Madhava (got it on Amazon)
because of this:

And that is when I happen to sweeten my coffee. I prefer it black or with some heavy whipping cream. But if I want sweet then I just have sweet. I would rather use something natural than something chemical.
Get this. A packet of Splenda contains this: dextrose, maltodextrin, and sucralose. The artifical sweetener is the sucralose. And in the body do you know what dextrose and maltodextrin turn into once we digest them? Sugar. Both of them. They are filling the packet of an artificial sweetener with "sugar" fillers. So, start looking at the ingredients on those artificial sweeteners. Most of them are filled with "sugar".
Do some looking online and you will find out just how many different words there are for sugar when it comes to ingredients. That's how those wonderful food companies hide it.
Remember that real food doesn't contain ingredients. Real food is an ingredient.
Only eat what you can pick, dig or spear. Mostly spear.

Agave but that is really high on the glycemic index (as is honey) or coconut palm sugar which is much lower on the index (http://coconutpalmsugar.com/Glycemic_Index_Explained.html).
I mostly fall back on the artificial (sucrolose which is made from sugar) since it is more convenient to carry with me.
That's funny because I bought Agave In The Raw and the label says "Low glycemic index"0 -
Equal or other off-brand blue stuff., and SF hazelnut syrup.0
-
I really like the German Rock Sugar available at Teavana for my tea. 1/2 teaspoon provides just enough sweet.0
-
I use agave nectar or sugar in the raw, I know it is not great to use sugar in my tea and coffee, but as long as I log it in my food diary I figure it is ok. It is when I don't count the calories that I run into problems.0

Coffee - no sweetener, just half/half or milk
Tea - sugar or Splenda ... but it depends on what kind of tea. I'm still influenced by the way my Irish grandmother made her tea. Either Lipton or PG TIps, brewed very dark, with milk and sugar.0 -
"I like my women like I like my coffee, strong, black, and bitter!"
No, seriously, I don't add sweetener or milk to either my coffee or tea. I guess the one exception is the Coffee Mate Sweet Italian Cream stuff I buy every now and then for a treat. I usually put a teaspoon in a double shot of espresso when I have time to fire up the Breville espresso machine in the AM.0 -
I have Sweetex in my Tea or Coffee.0
-
I use Natural Bliss Coffee Mate coffee creamer or almond milk and honey in my coffee. Not much of a tea drinker, but I use honey in that, as well.0

when I started this gig I swore my coffee will not be affected or changed. im crazy about my coffee in that way. I use a tbsn of half n half- no sugar- always have. my husband used sugar in his coffee when we met but liked how I made mine and stopped sugar almost immediately upon trying it without.
He now drinks black wanting to get almost all the calories out of his drinks. He never puts anything in his tea. I hate tea personally but Id probably add way too much honey if I had to choke some down.
try no sweetner for a while. try all the fake or sub sweetners- either you'll find something you like or cut the regular sugar down to a normal amt (id say 1 tsp in plenty in an 8 or 10 oz cuppa)0 -
I don't drink coffee. I prefer tea.
❤ organic raw honey
❤ organic coconut nectar0 -
I switched to sugar-free syrups years ago and eventually just stopped sweetening it. Now sweet coffee tastes pretty weird to me. I do occasionally make a maple latte with real maple syrup. I put half and half in my coffee - I don't like it black, and 2 tbsps is only 40 or 45 calories.0

TOPIC: what do you sweeten your tea and coffee with?
Nothing.0 -
Nothing.
I like them both black and unsweetened. Always have.
Makes it much simpler in the ktchen0 -
I normally don't sweeten my tea or coffee. I like it straight, gives fuller taste. I've had it like this forever. But if I want sweetened taste, I occasionally use honey with my tea. Coffee I never sweeten; I hate anything that changes the taste of pure coffee. OK, a splash of milk, a drop really, that I can take with coffee.0

Sugar. I'm on a VLCD and know that I'm not getting enough calories so I'm pretty flexible about the amount of sugar I'm putting in my tea -- I have like 3 cups a day so that's about 15-20g of sugar for me.0
-
I use 3-4 drops of liquid Stevia in my tea.0
-
raw honey and lemon juice for tea (some teas nothing like passion teas) and stevia for coffee.0
-
Speaking of sweeteners, what is the deal with Swerve? I have been seeing it popping up a lot in online recipes, etc.0
-
Have not had coffee in god knows when. I use honey or agave nectar in my tea. As for stevia, hate the packaged stuff but did buy the plant itself. The leaves are unreal... had to cut back on them as it was killing the plant. lol Yes, it's that good.0
-
Coffee with milk only, honey in my tea.0
-
Splenda0
-
whatever non caloric sweetener the coffee place has on hand. Not fussed about natural or not.0
-
I only drink decaf coffee and Herbal tea
Hot coffee and tea - no sugar
Black tea +milk
Herb tea nothing except when I'm sick, then honey
Iced coffee - whatever non-sugar I have around - one packet.
Iced coffee - either nothing or one packet of non-sugar sweetener.0 -
Sweet N' Low for tea. I don't sweeten coffee.
As for more natural stuff agave is pretty different and not bad.0 -
Nothing 'cause I'm already sweet enough. Yah right! If I'm not using sugar I like xylitol, all the other non sugar sweetners including stevia have a funny after taste to me. I never have put sugar in my tea or coffee, but I cook with xylitol.0
-
stoic motivation: I like the bitter taste of losing fat
Thank you, I needed that. Hilarious.0 -
I make a batch of cashew milk, lightly sweetened with honey and vanilla, and use that as my coffee creamer for the week.0
-
It will take approximately one year to get used to tea without any sugar or sweetener but once you have achieved that you will never like tea with sugar in it again.
I use Splenda in coffee because I believe that Splenda does not contain Aspartame - I now stand back and await the torrent of abuse if this information is incorrect/or that Splenda contains something equally evil...........................0
