500 aday. Lunch and dinner. It's actually big portions just completely unprocessed, only healthy food. I eat either grilled chicken, steak or fish, one large veggie and one fruit for each meal. Lost 15 pounds in four weeks!

Seriously you only eat 500 calories a day? That's really not good, you are going to give yourself serious health problems if you carry on like that!

I'm 5ft5 and eating 1500-1800 a day including eating back my exercise calories and have lost 7lb in a month. Eating my calories is definitely working!!

5'5" and I average around 1300 daily. I'm on a strictly supervised medically-endorsed diet, and my doctor would have a FIT if I went below 1000 calories a day! When I dropped down to around 1100, just to try it, I almost immediately stopped losing.

    1330 to 1530 cals a day.

I used to eat less than 1,000 a day and it made me very sick. That is not recomended at all. I wouldn't advise. Even my doctor said that isn't good.

I am set to lose 1/2 lb a week (only 10 more lbs to go) and it has me at 1690. Just started yesterday though with higher cals. Kind of scary! :D I was set to 1440. I am 5'6 (lost an inch somewhere :D)

Did eating <1,000 calories a day suddenly become a good thing?

And I try to get 1,200-1,300.

    1,400-1,500 on days I workout.

I always wonder how people have to push/force themselves to eat more than 1200 cals. How did you gain weight in the first place? Most likely over-eating...

Good luck keeping that up. 1,000 sounded bad enough but then I saw this... Please encourage yourself to eat more - preferably 1,200 minimum, but any more than 500 is a start. Even if it's just more of the same stuff, considering none of it looks bad.

    1333/day + exercise. 5'8"

Since I started eating more calories than the MFP recommended amounts, the losses have been steady.
