Team Bling Chasers (closed group of Row the World))

Welcome Team Bling Chasers! Are you ready to row the world? :smile:

team members are: butters1, Missit0101, trijoe, ka97, nerdieprofessor & AngelofMusic13. A pretty strong group of regular workout fanatics! WooHoo!

The basic gist is: I need you to report calories burned here. I will convert the calories burned to get miles moved per the game rules (x.05). I will then report them to Lee who runs the Row the world game every few days. (You can alternatively report in actual miles but it looks like mathmatically we will do much better in the conversion to miles from calories than actual miles)

Once Lee has the numbers he updates the game and our boat starts moving. Here's where he tracks .

    *if you miss a day, (or prefer to check in every few days), please still list your dates separately so i can make sure and not duplicate.
    eg:
    8-1 1 calories
    8-2 10 calories.
    8-3 5 calories

    *I will send to Lee every day or 2 and update here when i do. If you haven't posted your when i update, you can still list it:smile: . It will just go into the next batch.

    *I only need you to list new calories - calories since your last post.

    *The convension to miles is x .5. You can list that or i can do. Either way.

    8/1 :treadmill incline intervals 328 calories - 164 miles, group core class 206 calories - 103 miles
    tota for the day - 267 miles

    Sorry about the low numbers. Hopefully by the weekend I'll be up and running again - both figuratively and literally :)

    I'm in on 8-1 for 236 calories or 118 miles on 8-1. We are missing nerdie if she had any but here's what's going to Lee for Day 1.

    Well the miles above didn't post well or like they were on the screen. I will need to work on that. :)

    Our 8-1 total was 1391 miles. Yeah! Lee has already updated the map and it looks like we are headed to Burmuda and currently in 4th place as of this posting. Yay Bling!

    I've never done this so let me know if I screw up. For exercise in which I wear an HRT strap, I calculate my calories using average heart rate (via Garmin GRT strap) generally, which makes them much lower than MFP says. I use this calculator: http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx

    My 8-1 data is here:
    8/1 Bike 25.12 mi 1:57:00 12.9 mph, calories burned 649

    After today, I will have some low numbers for a few days as I'll be traveling on business and only able to walk/run, most likely. Then, back to the heavy cycling and swimming. I will at least get out and walk or walk/run every day! If there's a fitness center in the hotel, I might get on a treadmill or elliptical as well.

    Your calories burned is fine. :)

    Miles for this game are based on .5 x calories. In this case it would be 649 x .5 = 324.5 miles. Huge advantage over the real miles. You can just list calories if it's easier too.

    by the way, fabulous ride! and i know you kick some real big numbers around, don't sweat the days off. :smile: :flowerforyou:

    Okay, lesson learned. I will no longer post my calorie burns until the end of the day, because I often put in a little extra in the evenings, such as today. Usually it's planned so I wouldn't log my workouts until then but today decided to go on a little jog with my little prince to get out of the house so I've burned some more calories. The number I post now will be including the numbers above, so my total for today.

    8/2 - total calories burned : 626 Miles: 313
