    Late to the game, but I want to join. Our weather is finally down into the 80s (vs upper 90s) so I started walking/pulling my son in his wagon again.

    370 minutes of walking with all the hikes camping. My family walked and ran around Greenlake for 60 minutes tonight.

    Hi, I had joined this challenge but in the end only participated a couple of days. I have been checking in and it is awesome how many steps, miles etc that have been accomplished! I am having some major issues with my knees, in particular my left one. Anyway I am going to keep an eye on this thread as I know it is the perfect way for me to start to get active.I just got fitted for a brace yesterday and hoping that will give me the ability to participate in the next challenge.

    I know that I have been awful at posting during the last few months. I've gotten in a ton of walking, but I haven't been tracking it because it was in pursuit of Big Fun with my children. We've been to nature centers, parks, mountain hikes, museums, zoos, even some beach walking in San Diego. It has been a golden summer and I'm very sorry to see it go. This morning's fishing trip was my last big adventure as the children will be back to school next week and I will feel like I have a ball and chain around my ankle tying me to home.

    I'd love to join! I find walking outside is my favorite to not only get exercise, but to clear my mind and have alone time.

    This is continued from previous Walking Challenges, but its nice when each month has its own thread.

    *** Anyone can join in at any time, the more the merrier, lets keep each other motivated****

    Walking seems like the easiest way to start getting exercise, and even if you can't track distance (or don't want to), tracking time is good too...go for a 10 min walk after dinner, or up it to 30 minutes, you'll be amazed at the end of the month how much more exercise your getting in. :)

    Check in everyday with how far you walked or how long, this is just to motivate us to get in at least some exercise everyday, and keep an eye on each other.

    I want to try to keep this mostly to walking or walking type exercising. treadmills and ellipticals are A-OK.

    Hope to see some more faces in this challenge, we'll start tracking August 1st.
