    damn, totally forgot I wrote this.

    One small correction to myself though. The body doesn't convert amino acids to glucose when it uses protein for energy, it converts it to pyruvate, which eventually boils down to ketones which, for all intents and purposes does the same thing, except you have less energy per molecule, and different waste products (but it's 6 of 1... because they both provide the energy for ATP).

    This is so true but it is hard to get it in my head..to lose weight you eat less and to gain eat more. My body is the opposite and the sooner I accept this the better. I think this has so much to do with how we are brought up..most people dont know this or believe it..you could actually have someone who is eating 700 cals a day and weigh over 200 lbs. Most people think that person is cheating, but prob not just really slowed her metabolism down and has more fat than muscle.
