LOVE IT
Oh wow, she is beautiful. I would LOVE to be built like her
Actually, I am built just like her. I may actually end up with this body by the time I'm done :bigsmile:0 -

The first girl's picture has a NORMAL HEALTHY BMI. The 2 other pictures posted here are girls with BMIs that are UNDERWEIGHT. The last picture (that a guy posted) is BORDERLINE on the healthy/underweight spectrum.
Its sad to think that you ladies think that the ideal look is underweight
Its even sadder to think that healthy might be considered overweight.
Media has really messed up our ideas on body image.
False. The two pictures posted are on the low end of a very healthy and fit body fat percentage. Show bf% must be athletic and not essential, due to the fact that she does not have a defined 6 pack but is showing I would put her in the bikini group, not the fitness group, so probably around 16% (but I'm no expert). The girl originally posted is also in a healthy bf% range, probably about average.
I do agree with you that Media has really messed up our ideas on body image.0 -
There are many bodies I *wish* I could have but knowing my body shape, it's easy to guess what I *will* look like when I approach my goal weight. I'll have to say lena Dunham is a role model for me in that.. small bust, pear shaped. It doesn't hurt that I'm obsessed with her show, Girls.

I clearly have o idea how to post here correctly.0

For me, the perfect body that anyone can have is one that shows consistent work. If an individual will take the time to consistently workout and eat properly to allow them to lose or maintain what they have worked for is perfect to me. Everyone is at a different stage in their life and their bodies are still changing so to pinpoint the exact perfect body is nearly impossible.
Realistically the perfect body ON ME, is a flatter stomach (not a six pack but one that does not go over my belt), some muscle mass and a little definition.
Yet, I also know that I have come a long ways after a year of consistent work and I am happy with where I am now compared to then yet shooting to keep getting healthier every day by trying to learn new things that I can implement into my life without making drastic changes.0 -
I prefer Coco Austin's body.0

That's my ideal, I wish I could get back to it0 -
A nice toned body that would be a medium dress.0

This may not be everyone's preferred aesthetic, but it is most definitely mine.

Maybe this answer is not to popular on MFP, but I like thick women, your stretch marks are not ugly, the flab you gain from child birth is not ugly, you are a REAL WOMAN, you are not airbrush, An as long as you are comfortable in your body , Im comfortable holding hands and walking proudly down the street with you
I love you. Thank you.0 -
Marilyn Monroe = the perfect body in my opinion. I think (not positive) she was a size 14?
Sizes were different back in the 50s. I believe its vanity sizing that is the culprit?
What was a size 14 back then would be a smaller size today.
I just googled it and first site I clicked on was this
http://www.fatnutritionist.com/index.php/the-body-of-marilyn-monroe/
Which says depending on her measurements, she would be a 6/8 today.0 -
When I cross the finish line at the Tough Mudder in September I will know that I have put the work in to have my perfect body. I will know that I have a body that has the endurance to run 10 - 12 miles, be pushed harder than I ever though possible, strong enough to heft it's own weight. It will be my perfect body, because it will allow me to accomplish my goals. I've decided that I'm no longer concerned with as concerned with form (althought I do love my muscles), as I am with function.
Where is your TM? I'm doing the one in October in Carolinas. You'll have to give me some advice after September! We have the new obstacle where you crawl in ice water and get shocked by hanging wires, I'm nervous about that one!0 -
Personally I think the girl in the photo has a great body. Her stomach is flat even though she is clearly a heavier girl. Just goes to show you that the number on th scale does NOT mean anything! Her stomach is flatter than mine and I probably weigh less. My ideal body is simply that...a FLAT stomach and not the kind you have from being skinny fat! The kind you have because you worked for it.0

Anna Paquin is pretty close to what a realistic ideal would be for me. Compactly curvy.
Oh yeah that's a nice figure.0 -
I'm straight, but I think I just fell in love with this girl... Oh my
What I would do for some hips like those...0 -

In your opinion, anyway. It's just that I see some frail looking girls (on here and facebook) frantically dieting so they can look good in a bikini or whatever. I mean.. yeah being slim would be awesome.. but.. don't take it too far.. Maybe I just prefer girls to have some meat on their bones (sleazy porno music)
I'd rather look like this. She looks healthy and attractive as hell. But I know others would say that she's slightly overweight.
SO.. Whats your idea of the perfect body?
I would love to look like the photo you posted. I looked like that on my wedding day and that is what I am striving for.0 -
I have this really odd explanation. My son is gay, and he said to me, "come on mom. You've never had a "girl crush?"" I said, no, but if I see a woman who has my body type when I was an athletic (picture what a REAL woman athlete, like a softball player who is a little more on the stocky side looks like) person, then I'm attracted, but it's more of "Oh, she looks like me when I was at my peak weight, height, etc." I know that sounds narcisistic, but that's how I see my perfect weight.
I had body dysphoria, though, so I can only look back at those pics and say-THAT was what a good weight looks like. I was 160#.
We need to all remember that we are different sizes, and that's okay!0 -
Gonna have to say my own (although with more toning). Hey, ive worked hard, and there's no point dreaming of a body I'll never be able to have... so why not idealize the one Ive got
This one is perfect, any woman happy with who they are the sexiest creature on the planet. Self confidence is more attractive than anything else.0
