    OK, so this is the first time I'm posting a Wednesday weigh-in where I am really outside of my 180-185lb range goal! Need to reign that back in (and WILL!!!))

    Been celebrating multiple family members' November birthdays. This past weekend we had a HUGE celebration at my house with tons of food. And of course, oodles and oodles of leftovers after everyone left. I was raised by a Mom who spent time literally starving in her youth, and for whom wasting food is the ultimate sin. So, I simply cannot throw out good food! But we're nearly at the end of our celebratory food stores and then life will get back to normal. This is all part of living in maintenance mode...

    Find the Fun in It. If you can't get motivated, maybe you're doing the wrong activity. ...

    Break It Up. Talk yourself into exercising for a few minutes.

    Make It Convenient. When you're busy, don't spend 30 minutes driving to a gym. ...

    Forget the Past. ...Reward Yourself

    @Nikion901 You are below your goal for weight loss this challenge. Amazing! P.S. I also put on all my weight after 40. I was in peak physical condition at 35. Then I got married and had two kids. Then stress for 1-1/2 decades.. LOL!!

    @b_lisieux You made six kinds of ice cream. I've never made ice cream, never mind six kinds! And then to manage to resist eating half of it. Truly impressive. Your willpower is inspiring.

    @Believeinme35 You're in good company. I need to lose 70 pounds without surgery too. I've gained 10 pounds in the past month. Bad food choices. No exercise.

    @darling930 Down 15 lbs this challenge. Just try carrying 15 lbs bag of potatos around... that's a real accomplishment. Bet those clothes need some takin' in!

    @cellosmiles You maintained through the challenge. That's a good thing. Keep it going! If you're looking for a checkpoint, care to try out the Holiday exercise challenge?

    Hi! I will drop out of this challenge because no point to continue since I am sure I gained tons of weight and this will be the 3rd week I missed to weight-in but life is going back to normal soon so will join the fitness challenge .... is there an specific format we need to follow?

    HI happygirlxxx! You must do what makes you feel good, but definitely don't drop off this thread! You are doing so well in all aspects!

    I think tdunnegan listed a format... but the challenge is just exercise in general... so whatever is good for you. Personally I do nothing at all so my goals will be tiny : )
    and I hope it will help my energy level and get me back on track to good food.

    So I'm reviewing my choices. My downward turn into inconsistency happened when I became more lax with carbs and sugar... thinking that little can't hurt. Well, apparently it can because I can't do just a little. So I'm trying to get back to my very healthy eating from the beginning of my journey. Higher fat and protein and virtually no processed carbs.

    So I'm working on nutritious food and stopping emotional eating and I'm hoping additional activity will help me focus on this.

    Not a good week, haven't felt good this week. I've had a craving for salty foods, now I'm retaining fluids, I'm achy and feeling crappy most of the time. When I feel like this I tend to lose any will power I have and eat comfort foods, i.e. fast foods! :( Today is a new day and I WILL get myself back into healthy eating again! Hopefully this fluid will be gone by Saturday so I'm at my goal and in wonderland again by the end of the challenge on Saturday.
