Drborkbork, that sounds like a good plan. The snacking, I mean. I don't know how I"m gonna do it, I've been in and out of my depression for the last week or so, so it makes me not very hungry. I know I went over calories yesterday, I snacked in the middle of the night, 2 yogurts and some crackers, then had 500 calories for breakfast and for lunch, and then for dinner I had about 250 calories for dinner. Apparently I"m supposed to eat atleast 500 calories when I take my night time pills. hard for me to do, because at dinner time, I'm just not as hungry as I am during the rest of the day.

silver--try having calorie dense foods for dinner to help you get enuf cals for your meds.
walnuts, almonds, pbutter add up fast.

2 yogs and some crackers is not bad--probably 250ish.

congrats on your wt loss! and for speaking up to will. have you prepared yourself for if/when he puts the moves on you at the movie??? clearly he finds you desirable and it's hard to think straight when we're in that position. just a thought

haven't thought much abt t-giving. will exercise that day. will eat turkey and i'm making sweet pot mashed potatoes. probably just less of fattening stuff--i don't eat stuffing or cranberries anyway. veggie tray could be a good idea--smart thinking trish.

alright, gotta go. cuz can't be late.

nicolee--drink that water!! i think that's why i lost wt--not holding on to every last drop and flushing out the metabolic waste of fat burning. go girl! :flowerforyou:

Stacey, I"m trying to change my personality. I'm a basically weak person and I never really stand up for myself and people take advantage of me. But the only thing I can think of to do with Will is to show him that even though he doesn't want to date me or be my boyfriend, that I'll be alright without him. I know he "wants" me physically, but I don't want that kind of relationship, I just got out of that with Ben. If i wanted that kind of relationship again I'd call Ben. The friends with Benefits, relationship is what I'm referring to. I'm trying to stand up for myself and not take people's Sh**, so to speak. I'm hoping to affect his ego. he does have an ego. I"m hoping to put a dent in it, by showing him I'm ok without him and that I'll be fine. I told him I'm over it, him breaking up with me. I have my moments where I'm not over it and I cry, but I have friends who cheer me up and I get by.

I stepped on the scale again today it said 133.6 again, its just so hard to believe I'm so low. Its been a great motivation though. I worked out for a hour today, feeling great about it. I have a pair of size 8 pants that have been tight, I'm hoping with the weight loss I'll be able to wear them Thanksgiving to show my smaller figure off to my family.

Hi everyone. I am new to MFP, and heard about this board so decided to sneak a peek. I'm a SAHM to 6 yr. old boy and 1 yr. old girl. It's so much work, but you gotta love it. Well, I'm on here trying to lose weight because my health is awful with BP and cholesterol problems and I'm only 26. Hope that talking to some of you can help me toward my goals.

Current goal: lose 7 lbs. by Christmas
Long-term goal: get down to 145 (my ideal healthy weight range, at least the high end of it)
And I will probably go farther once I reach those goals. Just don't want to set too high expectations and then fail :noway:

Welcome aboard, jrbowers. MFP can get addicting, I think it's a lot of fun to count calories & figure out how to make it all fit. It's like a puzzle. The gals in this group are a great bunch of ladies and very supportive. I think being a Mom is the best job in the world. It's sort of one of those work hard, play hard deals. I'm 27 with a 16 & 1/2 month old, she's a lot of fun!
Just watch your calories, make sure to drink tons of water, exercise, and keep your sodium in check, and your weight will come off faster than you think :)
    Good luck!

Hello ladies! I've had a really busy weekend. My kids had a birthday party late Friday afternoon, where of course, they served pizza & cake. I had a bottle of water 1 slice of pizza & the rest of Samantha's piece of cake (not quite half). Then we had parents night out Friday night at our church, so dh took me to Monterrey, the best Mexican restaurant near us. I ate half my dinner & brought the other half home with me, but I did pig out on the chips.

Saturday I drank all my water, but the kids had another birthday party. So of course, I ended up eating 2 slices of pizza & a very small piece of cake. Only had water to drink at the party. Sunday, we decorated our church's sanctuary for Christmas. And, of course, There was more pizza involved. I had 2 slices & a bottle of water. I didn't get all my water in Sunday. Sunday was also the last day of the Renaissance Festival, so dh will be home on weekends now.

My goal this week is to drink 72 oz of water a day instead of the 64 I was drinking last week. I also am planning on walking 1/2 mile each day, starting today.

Amy, sounds great! Good luck! I've been terrible with my water lately. I"m surprised I lost 2 lbs actually, I haven't been logging or exercising. I've been eating basically whatever I want.

amy, weekends can really throw things out of whack. one sugg for the future--tho i know you didn't ask for this advice--pack your own lunch to eat at the party. if the other mom's look/say how weird--then just say you're "pizza'd out", had it last night, etc--lie.

as far as the cake--hmmm. i like the idea of just telling myself i can have it another time, just not at this party. or--that it has cooties. with all the germs going around you don't want to get sick (again, this is just a mind game--but maybe it'll work for you).

good plan with the walking. i see you're more than 1/2way to your goal! walk on!!

gotta go drink some more water. only 2 glasses done and it's already 1pm.

Amy, I think you did a great job moderating your meals! I'm pretty sure I would've had 4 slices each time. And as for your water goal, YAY! It sounds like I will have a drinking buddy.
I tuck away 90 oz a day, and some days even get 120. Looks like today will be a 120 day, as I'm already through my 90th oz and filled up again.

Thank you! Stacey, whether I ask for the advice or not, it's always welcomed! :flowerforyou:

Trish, thank you. I didn't really see it at the time as moderating my meals. I'm with you on drinking that water! :drinker: I figure I'll increase my water until I feel I'm getting the amount my body needs. I'm already over today. My goal was 72 oz, and I'm now at 80.

I also walked my 1/2 mile on the treadmill. I feel like I have more energy now than I did earlier today.

Silver - It's good to see you here! Congratulations on the weight loss!! :flowerforyou:

Good night ladies! Talk to you in the morning!

150 oz down the hatch today! I could do another 30 oz if I wanted to, but at that point I'm pretty sure I'd outweigh the Titanic at the time of her sinking, LOL.

Good morning, Ladies! I actually drank some water this morning. Unfortunately when I weighed in this morning it was 177 point something. I know it's water weight, so it's ok.

My daughter is in and out of the fridge, she keeps wanting me to open food, I open it and she says "no". ARRGGHH!:grumble: :grumble:

Ugh, Silver, I hate when they do that! My 16 month old does, it too. The whole grabbing food, having mom opening it, and then completely refusing it. I think it's cuz they want to do it themselves. Mine will sometimes refuse to eat entirely unless I roll up her sleeves, give her a spoon, and walk away. Then she tucks into her meal.

Yea, Shar is a little terror sometimes. But you gotta love them. I'm actually lucky if I can get Sharlotte to eat some days. She'll eat anything and everything for her dad. but for me, nope!

I got my housework done that I wanted to get done, swept and mopped my livingroom, cleaned my bathroom, and did some laundry, I now have 5 loads to put away. Ugh! :grumble: I hate putting laundry away, just as much as I hate cleaning my bathroom.

I hate putting laundry away too. Don't mind doing it, or scrubbing the bathroom for that matter, but despise folding laundry. I make hubs do it.
Silver, don't forget to record your housework under exercise. Just look up cleaning on the list and it should bring it up, then log how long you did it for. Every fold & scrub a dub counts!

Hi everyone. Thanks for welcoming me to the group. Well, Silver I have to say I feel the same way about laundry...oh, and unloading the dishwasher. I don't know why, guess all the bending and reaching. I actually wash and dry my dishes by hand some nights just to avoid that chore. As far as the laundry I've found I don't mind it in smaller increments. So I try to do one load every day. It just feels easier. As far as the water goals, I've been averaging 4 cups a day... I know not nearly enough. But today I've already downed 4, so I think I'm doing ok. I've got a cold coming on, so been really thirsty. Just out of curiosity, do you count decaf unsweetened coffee or tea as water intake?

jrbowers, if you've got a cold coming on, I highly recommend airborne. They even make a hot apple cider night time formula... and it counts as your water intake! Cold Eeze is good, too, and even comes in bubble gum form. Both boost your immune system to help stave off that cold so you can enjoy your holidays in health, wealth, and merriment... okay, maybe not wealth, LOL.

you gals make me chuckle.

sorry you're not feeling so well, jr. drink as much water as you can to thin the secretions and help prevent backup's.

nice job, silver on getting housework done. i'm practicing task avoidance.

nicolee--good luck on the turkey trot! you're awesome!!

i did cardiox ! abripperx (0.6--i couldn't do nearly all the reps of each exercise)!! and have had 5 glasses h2o. really good start for the day for me.
still need to do chest and back--later, later.
i think i'll do the housework tomorrow when dh is around to monitor the kids. that will be more efficient for me.

    later chicas

Hey everyone! I do a load of laundry a day too! I don't mind doing it, I just hate folding it and putting it away too. My kids are old enough that they can put there own clothes away:tongue: I make the hubby put his own away too! LOL!!!

Jr- I hope you feel better!

I am like Stacey, I practice avoidance, and the art of procrastination!

    Thanks Stacey for the encouragement!

For MY Thanksgiving holiday, I am thankful for my SAHM friends!!!:flowerforyou:
