    I agree completely. Even more so if just for "fun." There is lots of fun to be found without hurting anyone.

    ...he'd still be bothered and a little jealous if I started dating someone else at the moment.

    Can't imagine what about this makes you think his brother would be a good jumping off point. And if this is the kind of loyalty and "help" he offers his brother, I hope you don't have high hopes for what you would have coming.
