I almost vomited the first time I watched this. One of the factors that led me to become vegetarian!
you dont wash your produce before you cook/eat it? :huh:0 -
i read a post about fantasy cheat meals earlier- and the majority of folks said they would get something from mc.Ds. uggggh. with all the good food in the world, it turns my stomach to think that with all the choices thats what people would pick.0

Most chocolate contains insects... i guess everyone better stop eating chocolate too.0

Yeah, not true as everyone has already said. But hypothetically, if they offered up pastured organic, hand-separated chicken nuggets, and they cost $14 for a 10-pack, how many people would be ponying up to buy them? Very few I bet. Fast food evolved for a reason. It serves a certain demographic. There was a market for it because people demanded it. The demand is filled by lowering costs by automating the process and making the most efficient use of raw materials (i.e. recovering as much meat as possible from the animal by using a machine). All those parts of the chicken are edible anyway, and for everyone here who is grossed out by the thought of eating a piece of chicken foot, there is someone in China eating chicken feet by the plate full and savoring every bite.0

McD's doesn't use the ammonia treatment anymore. But it still is, and always has been, effing gross. Fast food makes me puke so I never eat it. The only thing fast food that ever enters my house is when my DH gets himself some kfc, which is rare.0

I hate when people put up these stupid source challenges when someone posts some information they think people might be interested in reading. If it really interests you to know, find out. Its not the OP's job to CONVINCE you what they're saying is true, they are just sharing something they learned which they thought could be useful.

It's good thing that our bodies know how to break down food and absorb the simple forms from it correctly. It doesn't know the difference between an organic cooked thigh, or one from KFC. It just utilizes the calories and macronutrients/micronutrients dealt to it.

Don't care how it is made , cooked, what is in it or any of that. The smell of the cooking fat makes me feel ill and it lingers in the street- let alone in enclosed spaces such as shopping areas or railway stations.
I once saw them take the guck away from the back of a shop in a disposal truck.0 -
Thanks, here I was going home to cook up some Turkey Breast and Green Beans, now off to McD's for some chicken McNuggets and a Spicy Chicken sandwich.0

I'll just go and eat 12 kilo of magarine and a kilo of salt then everyday for a few months. My body will deal with with it just... fine0 -

Most people know nothing about the food they eat. Origin, processing, what chemical got used, who touched it, what's in it. You want to be nauseated? Read the CFRs regarding food. Check out some of the FDA "guidelines".0

All processed foods are.... PROCESSED. They are full of gross things (who hasn't gotten an unsavory icky in a chicken nugget or a bk burger?!) I haven't eaten fast food in three years and it really helped get rid of all of my stomach problems (even though I rarely ate it back then, it still wrecked my body when I did). We all know that fast food is terrible for us. Even chick-fil-a chicken noodle soup (should be simple, hearty, and good for you) is loaded with sodium, words you can't pronounce (probably preservatives but who knows). I just wish these places HAD to display the calories/fat and INGREDIENTS on the menus. It would really make people think twice. There's so much they get away with, it's really ridiculous.0
