So, the month is half over, and I'm at 30 minutes - I've just added them daily - mixing them up, trying to go longer on side planks - I'd like to get a 60 second side plank, but so far, I can only get 30 before having to come back down to regular.

I'm on target to finish on time. I'm at 30/60! My I can see an improvement in my planks! I can hold them for a whole minute now :)

    Wait.

Is this challenge to do 60 minutes all in one shot or are you working up to the total of 60?

60 minutes for the month of September total. So 60 minutes broke up over 30 days.
  • Welp, looks like I'm on board for this one! :drinker:

This is harder than I thought! 6/60 ..... in addition to my yoga classes. Well, it's 6 minutes more than I would have tried without the challenge! Hope to get half way there!

10 more days!!! How is everyone doing?

I found that if I run in the morning, doing my planks right after is an easy way to get them out of the way. Got myself up to 40 minutes total out of 60.

    Home stretch everyone!

Really noticed a difference in my running this week thanks to holding plank. My core is feeling much stronger and I think I'm seeing an overall benefit!
  • Yep we are coming into the home stretch here. I hope everyone is on track. I have about 5 minutes a day coming up because I fell behind. GETER DONE!!!

Challenge accepted! Oh wait... 6 days left of Sept.

Can we do it for Oct?
  • Just saw this. So I guess I will start OCT 1. I can barely hold a plank for 30 seconds so I need this!! since I have a week to go before Oct 1 i will concentrate on abs this week to strengthen them up. And Ill do about 15 minutes of Hula hooping everyday. This is excellent core strengthening. But I dont use a store bought Hula I made my own. You tube how to make your own Hula Hoop and It is the best to use because it is heavier than a store bought little kids one. Hoop it up!!

I'd be up to restarting this challenge in October. I was going to continue working on planks anyway because I'm really seeing improvement.

This totally fell off my radar. I did do a couple right at the beginning, and my trainer makes me do them every Friday so I guess that would bring me up to 8...then another 2 at bootcamp tonight so I'm up to 10. Hmm...50 in 5 days? I'm going to give it a shot, see what happens :grumble:

DONE!!! Added two minutes extra to a few days this week so I could finish early and have the weekend off. We're moving so I needed all the extra time I could get!

I'm up for 60 minutes in October!

Did all 60 minutes of planks for the month. Liked it so much I'm now rolling it over to October. 60 more minutes this month!

And my personal goal is to hold plank for a total of 2 minutes each day rather than breaking it down to 1 minute per plank!
