    Hi Everyone,

I walked 60 minutes tonight. That brings my Sept total to 565 minutes - monthly target is 1800 minutes. I'm averaging 62 minutes per day.

Today was a perfect walking day - coolish with no humidity. Back to work tomorrow.

    Happy walking, all.

  • Just joining in! Went to the zoo today with my son and friends. Walked around at about 2.0 mph for 3.5 hours! During a normal week for me, I usually walk about 2.6 miles per day... in the cooler months it usually takes me about 20 minutes, but in the warmer months it takes me 40 minutes (I hate sweating). Am starting a new job tomorrow at UPS either loading or unloading boxes. I hope to be walking 1.3 miles per day plus 5 hours of loading or unloading. I'm tired already! :-)

Good job with the walking! You will be sweating A LOT at your UPS job. Drink plenty of water. It's not an easy job. Good exercise, though. :)

When you add your daily miles the way you do, Amaizenblue...I am inspired...THX! Just found this forum...and I walked the last two days around the lake at my Stepdaughter's home...sooo will count from Saturday...and focus on walking at LEAST a mile everyday...but goal is 3 miles...THX!!

I've made a new determination to at LEAST walk a mile a day. At 3.5 mph...in an hour I can easily walk three miles. If I cannot spare an hour...and sometimes I get that busy...I aim to do at LEAST one mile...which doesn't sound like much...but over the month...it can be 30 miles...wow...I am inspired THX all!

    9/8 - 3.5 miles
    9/9 - 2.5 miles

    Total: 6.0 miles

I'm glad! :drinker: It helps me, too. Knowing that I have to log my miles every day gives me motivation to get out there and do it. I actually feel guilty if I have to type in a "goose egg" for a day.

And I feel better than I have in years.
  • Hiked a 1.2 mile trail w/pretty steep hills in 30 min.. Sept. 9

I would love to join this challenge!! I just delivered my brand new baby girl via c-section, so pretty much all I can do is walk right now.

I walked for 65 minutes today.
  • Count me in! I just joined today but I have been walking the dog for about 30 minutes each day, Sept 1st and 2nd---I was in Chicago and did LOTS of walking!!!

Can anyone recommend a good pedometer? I would like to get one for myself.

The fitbit does an excellent job as a pedometer but it is expensive.
