    I was a divorce mom of a toddler and 23 years old when I met him. He was 30. We both worked at a very expensive steak house. Me as a waitress and him as a cook. We were friends first, he was after me to go out with him for 6 months before I relented. We would get together with people we worked with and shoot pool when we got off from work and he would just follow me around. LOL. I agreed to go to his apartment to watch the superbowl and fell in love with him that night. I had always known what a nice person he was, but that part of his personality shone through that night.

    He came home with me on Valentines Day that year (1991) and he never left. We married a year and a half later and celebrated our 20 year anniversary in May of this year.

    There have been ups and downs, but we have managed to plow through. We still love each other as much, and sometimes probably more, than we did when we first were living together. I can appreciate so many of his traits now that I didn't really notice before. He is one of the kindest people you could ever meet and he's my best friend. He calls me his life mate.

    I had a crush on him when I was 13, but I couldn't catch his interest til I was 17. Him being five years older might have had something to do with that. Just about to celebrate 12 years of marriage, and just passed 17 years as a unit.

    I met my husband when I was 40. He was 34. Ooh! A younger man! Neither of us had ever been married.

    We were both 20. Met on Ambleside (in cumbria UK) climbing wall, Sunday morning 19th January. Will have been married 25 years next year. During the really difficult times I wonder what my life would have been like if I had stayed in bed that morning?! lol!!

    In 2004 my best friend at the time was dating his son. I was separated with 2 children, and his son introduced us. He was a widow with 4 boys and 2 step children. We hit it off right away. 2 years after we met I became a widow. I was 40 and he was 46 when we met. We have been together going on 9 years.

    My husband and I grew up in the same neighborhood. We had all the same friends but because he was a year younger than me I thought he was a nerd.

    I was 20 when we met again. We started dating, then 2 weeks later he left for deployment training in Mississipli. That was in January. He came home for 4 days in March before leaving for iraq and we were married March 6th 2010.

    We met REALLY young. I was 16 and he was 19. We started dating more seriously when I was 17 and got married when I was 22. Celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary last night. I guess we've kind of grown up together.

    Age 34. He was also 34. I'm now 36 and he's about to turn 36 in October. We met online.

    ETA: This is our first marriage. No kids. And neither of us were looking! Lol. So... it really does happen when you don't expect it sometimes, in fact, I had bought a plane ticket out of the country to Ireland right before I met him... in fact, I was contemplating moving to Ireland. I thought.. eh, what can it hurt? He wants a date, it'll probably just be a fun date or short fling... so we met, it clicked and he's been with me ever since. Moved into my house shortly after we met and we've been inseparable since. We married 9 months into our relationship. Now I can't imagine life without him.

    I was 27 and he was 26. We pretty much knew from the moment we met that we were going to have a future together. Eleven months after we met, he proposed. And five months after that, we got married. :)

    I was a "retread" with 2 failed marriages and a son when I met my husband at 35 years old. After we met we realized we went to junior high and one year of high school together, only one person was in between us in the yearbooks since our last names were similar............ now here we are married for 4 years and i have another son now :love:

    Was married for over 20 years and when we divorced it was the happiest/saddest day of my life. Turned out she had mental issues. She's now in assisted living where she can be watched 24/7.

    Never did understand why she wasn't happy. Turns out she had a horrible childhood along with a family history of mental illness. Now what keeps me from marrying again is why didn't I recognize her illness. I tried so hard to make her happy that it nearly drove me to the nut house as well.

    Until I figure the latter question I won't date. That was 20 years of pure torture. I don't want any more of that.

    I met mine when I was 18. We were both Seniors in High school. We started dating in April he left for basic training in July. We then got engaged in December and married in March! 10 years later with 2 kids and 8 years of the army!

I met my current husband soon after my hubby passed but we were just friends for about 4 years then we started to date and eventually marry. I remarried last year at 33 and had twins 7 months ago. It will happen when the time is right and when you aren't looking.

    We were 29 - we met online. A few hours into our first date we both knew we would get married. We dated for 8 months before we got engaged and got married 11 weeks later. It's 11 years this month!

    Hang in there - I had a few engagements fall through and thank heavens they did!

I met my current husband soon after my hubby passed but we were just friends until recently when we started to date and eventually marry. I remarried last year at 33 and had twins 7 months ago. It will happen when the time is right and when you aren't looking.

    sad to hear about your first husband....but super romantic story in the end.

    I was 15 when we became friends, we worked together. Day after I turned 19 we started dating, got married last year when I was 25. =)

    My wife and i first met back in '94. We both worked for the same company at the time, and so the story goes, she wanted to "see my tattoo ( i had just the panther's head at the time), since she had one herself. We eventually hung out a bit, and then went as BF/GF, got engaged on Christmas Eve of '95, married in August of '97, had our son in 2001, and then our daughter in 2005. Our 15th wedding anniversary was this past August 31st, but we're celebrating it this month because things came up, and had to postpone plans to go to Foxwood Casino in Connecticut. So this month we're going to make our contribution to the casino instead.

    Early 2005 she was 19 and I was 24. We met through an online game we played together daily as online bff's for the next four years. We both had serious crushes on each other but since we were so far apart we didn't pursue one and other romantically until the fall of 2008 I started telling her every day that I wanted to come to Florida and visit her. Finally spring 2009 she agreed to let me visit. We first met face to face May 2009, I stayed with her for two weeks. Then went back to Texas after three long months I moved. We got married May 2010 exactly one year after our first meeting I was 30 she was 24.
