Hey i started my weight lost journey in October '11. I was around 320 + or - and joined MFP in January '12 at around 286 somewhere. Now im 218, dropped over 100 pounds and feel great. I'm not going to say its easy but just keep trying and you'll get there at your pace.

I know it can be frustrating when you have a lot to lose, but one day / one month at a time will get you there. And your life isn't on hold until you reach your magic goal weight, promise.

Lots more pics in my profile.

I'm just seriously getting started but have so far to go! Hang in there. It can happen if we keep working our food program and keep moving. It might help you if you establish baby goals, like loosing ten pounds, then treat yourself to something special like a new pair of earrings or even lunch out with a friend. If your like me though, a treat always equals something sweet. Even this is ok if we work it into our food plan! Keep up the good work!

It is frustrating and when you are looking from that to where you need to be it seems impossible. But, look at all the people here. We are all working to get to what we want. It can and will happen. :)

    Around 300

Thats me too, I started at 357 and now I'm 339! I feel discouraged sometimes too, but then I try and think about what all I have accomplished non-scale wise and how accomplished I'll be when I lose half of me (literally).

Now now, be proud of what you have accomplished! Never give up!

I started at 260lbs and was a mess, every joint hurt, sleeping was terrible, I could hardly tie my shoes. I could maybe walk 2 miles at a pace of 28 minutes per mile on flat ground. I set small goals and worked slowly toward them over the course of a year. By small I mean- first goal was to walk at 24 minutes per mile on flat ground, next was adding hills etc. I paid more attention to the goals than the scale. Meeting the small goals kept me going. I then started setting bigger goals for myself and I just climbed my first mountain a week ago. Life is so much different now. Joints don't hurt anymore, I have amazing energy. I feel alive.

Keep up the great work and be amazed and proud of what you accomplished. Be patient too, it comes with time!
