I buy my body lotions and sprays from Bathed & Infused. (bathedandinfused.com) They have HUNDREDS of fragrances and a great line up of items you can buy in those fragrances. I like the body lotion and the "In Between Cream". . .skin is soft and smells great!! I also like to get cuticle oil pens from them in the same fragrance as my lotions.
Full Disclosure: This is a business that my friend owns. But, that doesn't diminsh how awesome I think the products are. :-)0 -
I use neutogena comfort cream, I have had ezcema since birth and since using this about 8 years, i don't get any ezcema now only on my hands0
-
I use Victoria Secrets line (lotion and sprays) or Curel.0

What I use is locally made by a small Austin company. It has no chemicals and is the best. It's from South Austin People (SOAP). Unscented or a variety of natural scents. Too bad it is not yet available nationwide but it can be ordered online.0

St. Ives Cocunut and Orchid extract. Love it.0
-
Cerave. It was recommended for my daughter's eczema, but I've found that it's great for my skin. I alternate with concentrated cocoa butter (Palmer's).0
-
I actually use Lucas Paw Paw ointment on my problem areas (tummy and thighs) it's helping incredibly with my stretch marks and my skin feels tighter and softer the next morning (I put in on before bed) it can be a little pricey, but a little bit goes a loooong way! I've had the same medium sized jar for over a month now, I love it!0

I use Nievia 48hr moisture... LOVE THAT STUFF!!0

Coconut oil.........the solid stuff from about any store. OMG skin feels like a baby's butt. Addicted!:)
same here!!1 -
I make my own using Vitamin E (2 pack 'lil canisters found at Walmart - lotion aisle), baby lotion (largest container of the pink kind - Johnson & Johnson or store brand) and Vaseline (name or store brand). Mix all together in a large bowl (I even use my hand mixer since the Vaseline is quite thick). Can spoon back into the Vitamin E and Vaseline containers for storage but there is a lot left over so I also use old butter containers to store in.0

I use Medline Skin Repair Cream. The hospital where my Dad stayed for a few weeks used it, and we fell in love with it. I ordered it from Walgreens -- kinda difficult to find.0
-
Aveeno, simply the best!0
-
Has anyone tried Classic Sugar Boutique yet? They have a 100% organic and vegan lotion I like to use.0
-
I love Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter, and good ol' Aveeno.0
-
I can't use products with petrochemicals because they make me itchy, so I religiously slather on a jasmine scented almond, peanut, and lanolin oil blend after showering and before drying off.0

I have really bad eczema on my hands, so I use Eucerin Calming Cream. It isn't the cheapest of the Walmart lotions, but I love it because it really works. It doesn't take a lot, and it absorbs well and moisturizes for a while. I put it on within 5 minutes after getting out of the shower and after each time I wash my hands, to ward off the eczema flare-ups.0

Body Shop body butter, a variety of scents. Alternatively, Jergens for extra-dry skin.0
-
I like anything made by philosophy... the pure grace scent is my favorite... it doesn't smell like candy or flowers or anything like that... just the clean smell of soap & water...0
-
Okay, the creepy lil raccoon is awesome....
And I don't actually use lotion, just bag balm for my poor feet. But my daughter uses coconut oil and she swears by it.0 -
Eucerin because its the only body lotion I've found that contains sunscreen. Works great at keeping my skin soft and smooth. It's not at all greasy.
I used to use cetaphil ( still use their facial cleanser which is THE best) but it doesn't have any sun protection.0 -

Yup! ! !
This works the best for me too. I have an array of body lotions...................but coconut oil is what keeps my skin glowing. I just take about a teaspoon and slather it all over my body in the shower.
But there is one caveat. If you are stepping out in the sun with coconut oil on your exposed body part, you will get tanned. It's definitely a no no for me................. I don't know about you guys, but a tan is not a good thing in my part of the country.
If I am going to be out in the sun , I use a sunscreen lotion and keep myself covered as much as I can0 -
I read that grill cooks gain weight because of the grease from the grill and fryers. It seeps in the skin adding calories so I watch using any oils or butters etc. I
It puts the LOTION on its skinnn!
LOL, what??? Where the heck did you hear some asinine myth like that? No, gaining weight doesn't work like that. Using oils is ridiculously beneficial to the skin. I prefer not to use them because I don't like the feel of it, but coconut oil and cocoa and shea butter are lovely for the skin.
I personally don't have a go to lotion, like others have posted, I just buy whatever. What I had been using was Johnson's Shea and Cocoa Butter, smells so good and feels great on the skin. But now I use this lotion from the vaseline brand, and it is very moisturizing.1 -

Coco butter from bath and Body Works or the Body Shop and coconut oil . Coconut oil is great on the hair and excellent for winkles!!!!0

As lathering up after a shower helps your skin get more hydrated, and especially with weight loss makes it smoother and supports firmness, I was wondering if anyone has found 'the best' one of them all? Is bio oil really worth the price? Or soap & glory as the reviews claim?
Loaded question fail.
From the Mayo Clinic website:
If you're looking to maintain hydrated skin, there are steps you can take, including:
Avoid exposure to dry air
Avoid prolonged contact with hot or chlorinated water
Use a gentle cleanser instead of soap
Avoid using skin care products that contain alcohol
Moisturize immediately after a bath or shower and regularly throughout the day
Use a humidifier
Wear a scarf and gloves when going out in cold weather1 -

What is the point of your post?
Right in your response from the Mayo Clinic, it says:Moisturize immediately after a bath or shower and regularly throughout the day
Use a humidifier1 -
My point is that it doesn't matter what moisturiser you use. If it mattered, the Mayo Clinic would say "Use Awesomegooligum".
Pointing to this moisturiser or that is just lining the pockets of the cosmetic companies and making you look foolish, Generic sorbolene from the discount warehouse is as effective as the $50 tube from Iluvyourskinetc.0 -

Well, it would have been helpful if you'd said THAT instead. :-)
However, I can say from experience that some moisturizers are better than others. The Mayo Clinic isn't going to endorse anything specific in an article like that, regardless. That doesn't mean the most expensive are the best, though.
I had wrist surgery in June and the PT told me to put cocoa butter on the scar to keep it from feeling tight all the time. He specifically recommended that. I found a huge jar at Walmart for $2.
I use St. Ives on my body. Seems to do the trick.0
