You can't talk about extreme metal without acknowledging one of the pioneers: Venom!

Children of Bodom's cover of Britney Spears' "Oops I Did it Again" is freakin' awesome. Actually, that whole album is. Stone Sour, 5FDP, Early Man, Papa Roach, Godsmack, etc. For some fun "WTF???" moments, I recommend Tragedy, the "All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees" and Steel Panther.

Old school Metallica got me started on metal. I loved all the 80s stuff, even the "pop-metal" hair bands. In the 90s it was all about Pantera.

So true! I have a "Mom's Metal" folder that I use for working out. Sometimes I have it randomize, and sometimes I pick out specific play lists. There is nothing better to workout to than metal!
