BANANA ICE CREAM
Chop bananas.
Freeze bananas.
Blend in blender until soft-serve consistency. (If your blender sucks you might need a splash of milk)
Add flavoring of choice and blend it in.
Scream.
Encourage somebody else to scream.
Encourage everyone in your immediate vicinity to scream.
Receive ice cream.
The last four steps are very important. Do not skip them ever.
This is FUNNY!0 -
Cooking with dog (on Youtube) had a recipe for pineapple ice cream... would imagine it is much like Dole Whip, but haven't tried it yet. Must still get my Ninja unboxed...Found a pink one on clearance at Target!0

Speaking of magic and smoothies.....
What is everyone's opinion of the Magic Bullets? I've heard great and not so great things about them. Would love to make smoothies glass by glass with little clean up, but don't want to invest if they are too flimsy to be worth the purchase.
I picked up a generic bullet at Aldi for $15, it works great but the cups are a little small...0 -
OMG, between this and the Adventure Time GIF, this thread has been awesome-fied before we even get to blender recipes.
I LOVE peanut butter and banana smoothies. This was my inspiration recipe:

However, I've made variations on this theme such as adding protein powder or using skim milk in place of soy (I don't always have it around). It is delicious, full of protein, and I did not taste the spinach one bit - although if you really wanted to, you could leave it out or half the recipe.0 -
LOL!! I tried this years ago before I was in the "know" and put the whole banana in the freezer then wondered how I was gonna peel it!! Classic blonde card move!!0

You are AWESOME! Tried this yesterday with straight up frozen bananas and nothing else. It was fantastic! And, my little lactose intolerant, banana lovin' 3 year old loved it too. Vitamix is pretty awesome too.

This is the BEST thread ever. My favorite, and almost every morning smoothie:
1/2 c. strawberries
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
1 c. almond milk (I use original or vanilla unsweetened)
5-6 ice cubes
Mmm chocolate covered strawberry smoothie.0 -

1 cup frozen strawberries
2 leafs kale
1 cup light soy milk
you can change this around with different berries and leafy greens, but damn... it's good.0
