October 2012 Move Your *kitten* challenge....

Okay *kitten* movers, here's the new thread for October's move your *kitten* challenge.....We started the first MYAC thread in November 2010 and have been going strong and growing more and more each month.....Welcome to the newbies and welcome back to the oldies

Set your goal, make your ticker or add your goal and current miles moved to the thread as often as possible and then get moving starting Monday, Oct 1st.

Please do not post any Sept miles here..Dino will update our Sept spreadsheet when the month ends...Please add only October goals/miles to this thread.....

The goal is to set a distance goal KM or Miles and track your distance for the month...you are challenging yourself, not competing against anyone else.....the miles can be on a treadmill, the stairmaster, the elliptical, the bike, roller blades, walking, running, biking, hiking, swimming (if you can measure).....kust set a goal and do the work...

Report to the thread often to keep Dino updated because he tracks our info on a spreadsheet so you can see how you are doing compared to the group but not to compete with them....the idea is to set your goal and reach it before the end of the month....

    I think I need this challenge. Pretty sure I can pick up a pedometer cheap today. I'll go with 50, too. It's a nice number, I have no clue how far I really walk when I do go walking, so no clue if I can reach it, but gotta start somewhere, and I have got to get out and exercise every day again!

    I went for 350 for September but i had more time off work, i think i will aim for 300 in October as i dont have as much spare time this time round.

    Did this for September and made my 30 miles today. I know October will be more difficult because I'm traveling a bit, and the light fading sooner each day, so I'm going to stick with a mile/day, and set my goal for 31 miles.

    Thanks a lot for this thread it has really helped me get off my butt. That said The dogs and I feel like we should try for a little more this month so put me down for 35.

    I was not even close to goal for September, but I want to keep the goal the same... 100 miles. I know that I can accomplish it this time around!
  • I'm in again for 100miles, did not complete last month challenge of 90 miles, but got to 51.9 with a day to go...But I'm ready to move in October.........
