Met mine on match.com but if you ask my mom she'd tell you I found him under a rock.
  • I met my boyfriend on eharmony. My only warning about dating sites... People don't usually tell the truth about themselves. My boyfriend was pretty honest - but he also fudged alot. Fortunately, I was prepared for that. My big issue was that I didn't want our dating life to be around food - and it isn't. So, that part is great!! Good luck!
  • i met mine on POF and we have been together for 3 years now...we are sooo suited towards each other....met others on that site that were total losers but this guy was the exception to the rule... :)

I was a bouncer in a bar called Skinny's in Michigan. She came in with a friend and I immediately noticed her. I tried talking to her, but she told her friend I was an arrogant, military ***hole... I gave her my phone number. She never called, but I kept seeing her in the bar and trying to talk to her.
One day her friend called and said hold on.... she handed the phone to my now spousal unit as she walked in the door from work. We have been married for 16 years now. All of her friend gave us about 2 years and we would be divorced.... we are the only ones still married. Karma's a **tch!

We met on some embarrassing dating website that no longer exists. We started talking in 2006 and friended each other on my space but never met and we stopped talking after a few weeks or so. Then in 2008 we started talking again, finally met and started dating a week later. We'll be dating 4 years as of Oct. 3rd

I had known him since jr high, but had never given him much thought. We'd were working together in high school at a pizza restaurant and he gave me a Valentine's Day card - we've been together ever since - married for 15 years now with 2 kids.

I met/crushed on my husband in grade 9 English class. We never really talked, but I had a crush on him :) I left and went to an other highschool after that. Four years ago I saw him at a bar and instantly recognized him as my grade 9 english crush haha and we had an acquaintance in common, so I talked to him. Started hanging out a month after that... We eloped last month :)

OKCupid is a great site if you go the on-line route.

I met him at a party during the Summer of '09.. My friend worked with him and she wanted me to meet him. But while we were actually at the party, she decided she liked him instead.. So I hit on his friend lol. We all did a double date the next night and I fell for him.. he wasn't interested in my friend and he was interested in me as well. All is okay between all of now.. me and my friend did have a year long fight though. but me and boyfriend have been together for 2 years and a month :)

I met my husband at the car wash!

I was working there part-time and he kept coming through in driving his corvettes and the Z-28. He would ask me out to dinner and movies and I would turn him down. He finally came in driving his pickup truck and wearing his work clothes. I asked him out that day. We have been together for the past 18 years!

I was living in LA and my Edward had taken a detour on Hollywood Boulevard to ask for directions. No one was any help and then he encounters me, and I was more than willing to help him.

The morning after, Edward hires me to stay with him for a week as an escort for social events. Of course I advised him that it "will cost him," and he agrees to give me $3,000 and access to his credit cards! So after some dinners, dresses, a polo match, getting in a tiff with his bald lawyer, I KNEW I was in love. But we had a fight and I ran back home.

I remember him leaping from the white limousine, and then climbing the outside ladder and steps. Then we made out on the fire escape.
  • MFP --he lives in CA near my mom. It was really too good to be true and pure luck that he saw one of my updates talking about me being back in CA...God was definitely at work! :)

My husband and I met through mutual friends in high school when I was 14. He became my best friend. We lost touch when we both joined the Army, but we both moved back to our home town around the same time and started seeing each other. Been together 5 years now, and our second anniversary is in two weeks.

I met my boyfriend of 2 years at his uncles backyard bbq! I was friends with his uncle (sounds weird bc his uncle is only 2 years older than him) and we had a summer bbq one sunday afternoon. Eric (my bf) showed up and we hit it off right away, talked the whole afternoon and later that night as the bbq was dying down and people were beginning to leave he asked me if i wanted to go grab a drink with him before heading home... the rest is history! :)

He use to watch me twirl at high school football games and would drive by my house while I held practice in the back yard. I didn't know he existed. A few years later, mutual friends introduced us and we went out on a couple of dates, but I decided that he was too old for me. Fast forward 10 years. He had married and divorced before we ran into each other at a local, small town bar. We started dating and have now been married for 30 years. I wouldn't trade him for anything.

My husband was my dog's vet! I was 18 when I first met him and he was 32. We didn't get together until I was 24 though. We have been together for almost 5 years and have a 7 year old (he was from another relationship but my husband treats him as if he was his own son and my son considers my husband his dad).

We met through mutual friends. I was 16 and he was 26 when we met and he wouldn't have anything to do with me because I was underage but we remained friends. Once I turned 18 he had our friends invite me over one night for dinner and to watch movies and we have been together ever since. 15 years, 2 kids and a lot of ups and downs we are still going pretty strong. Just celebrated 12 years of marriage in August.

boyfriend = We met on an internet activity site. He is amazing, fun, adorable and probably the best boyfriend EVER! We thought we'd meet up at a local club to see a local band perform. We've been together ever since. Anniversary of that date was December 2, 2011.

girlfriend/wife = I hired her for a warehouse position at a small toy company I worked for. She was funny, kind and one of the best people I had ever met. We went out to celebrate a great Christmas season with the entire company and to celebrate the incredible number of shipments she and I were able to get out on the last day. We have been together since that day. Anniversary of that date was October 2nd, 2004. Tomorrow is 8 years! :)

Don't ask why there is one of each, just go with it.

I wonder how those beeetches that work in the stores on Rodeo Dr treated you whilst shopping with said credit cards.

I met my boyfriend on Plenty of Fish. Apparently it took an online dating site to meet someone that worked in the same place as I did for 3 years. He had finished his work term about a year before we met online. Funniest thing is I found a picture of me at a staff retirement party and he was sitting 2 people away from me and we never met. The coincidences don't end there though. The company he works for now is owned by someone that used to work with me and is good friends with my boss, and the location of his new job is in the same building as my bosses wife. It was interesting when we finally let them all in on it.
