    8.05 miles to Bag End...There was a mileage mess-up along the way and yesterday we were at the Three-Farthing Stone. We left the Shirriffs behind. Today we are on Bywater Road.

    8.05 miles for Saturday and Sunday...

    We reached Bag End with a large party of hobbits. Frodo confronted Saruman. Wormtongue slays Saruman, and is killed by hobbits.

    BUT...I want to see Lonely Mountain, so I must travel back to Rivendell then on to Lonely Mountain.

    1.55 miles...left Bag End and head south down the lane toward Hobbiton. Take bridge across the Water; turn east on the road to Bywater.

    Just realised I am walking Frodo's route not Bilbo's so I have 458 miles to walk from Bag End to Rivendell. I am almost at Buckleberry Ferry.

    48.26 miles...Reached Brandywine Bridge and stayed at the Bridge Inn. This morning we crossed the bridge. The road too Buckland goes south. We pass High Hay.
